As you may have noticed Spring was late here in Southern Ontario ... but Summer is just around the corner. It's a great time now to plant out transplants of warm-weather-loving plants (like peppers and tomatoes), and it's just warm enough to start direct seeding warm weather crops outside, like cucumbers and beans. Hint: soak bean seeks overnight before planting, and water daily until seed have sprouted. Protect tender plants from slugs with a ring of broken eggshells. Pole beans or runner beans will need sticks or strings to climb, bush beans don't.
