Kickstarter

First off, sorry for the silence Kickstarters.  Rick and I have been working diligently over the past couple weeks.  The current schedule predicts that the Alpha/Beta version of Tapose will be complete in around 8 weeks.  We plan to do some sort of testing for backers.  However, seeing that it has been difficult even to get time to post an update, we obviously haven't had much time to research this.  If anyone has any recommendations please let us know.

The Alpha/Beta is named such as it will split the "normal" Alpha and Beta versions that we are used to.  This version will include: 1) Journal functionality 95% completed, 2) several internal apps, 3) web site 90% completed, 4) possible final layout, 5) no professional design.  We will then have a testing session for one FULL week.  This testing session will point out what needs to be fixed, rearranged, and added that was not previously considered.  The next month will then be spent finishing Tapose by implementing fixes, adding remaining functionality, and adding the final professional design.

Tapose is an extremely complicated application, but we are going full force to bring it to your devices as soon as possible.  From what we have so far, we think the end result will be pretty great.  Below is our penciled in schedule.

August 1st. Alpha/Beta version completed

August 8th: Alpha Beta testing completed

September 8th: Final version completed and submitted to the app store

As always, we want to start off by saying THANK YOU KICKSTARTERS! We reached $20,000 Thursday with over 1,000 backers. It is amazing even to think about. When Rick and I came up with the idea and started the Kickstarter project, we knew it was a great idea but could not predict the amount of support it would receive. We obviously hoped the Kickstarter goal would be reached, but we are preparing ourselves for the opposite. The support shown has been phenomenal, and we will make sure to do our best so that Taposé will live up to all your expectations.

WORK HAS STARTED!!!
Rick and I have been extremely busy getting prepared to start Taposé. It is such a hugely complicated app to make, that we needed to ensure all I's were dotted and T's were crossed. We also understand how it feels to be put on hold for something you seek.  Therefore, we have decided to bring on a couple contractors to help in the development of the app so that we can bring Tapose’ to you as quickly as possible.  The release date is tentatively set for Late Summer.  

As mentioned before, there have been many new articles written on Tapose’ from blogs and backers alike.  Your suggestions and ideas from Twitter & Facebook have also been a huge inspiration for additional Tapose’ features.  Your continued support and interaction is encouraged to ensure that Tapose’ meets your expectations.  To help spread the word to as many people as possible we wanted to flood Engadget with a plethora of information of Tapose'.  Your help will ensure Tapose‘ be shown and not be ignored.

The last week has not only seen an extreme interest in Taposé on Kickstarter, but our Facebook and Twitter followers have been extremely engaging.  We have been receiving numerous suggestions on the functionality of Taposé and what they'd like to see in the released version.  If you haven't already, this is a great way to get your voice heard.  Also, we have started asking a "question of the day" to get followers even more involved.

Over the past several weeks, Rick and I have realized that Taposé is much bigger than the napkin idea that it started as.  This is functionality that you all have been waiting for and seeking for a long time.  We cannot explain our excitement in building this product for you.  We are equally as thrilled that the world over seems to love Taposé!

Lastly, we have had some great articles written on Taposé.  One from Gizmodo, a couple local Seattle papers, and even a couple articles from our backers.  We would love to see an article on some of the other Tech blogs too.  This helps spread the word so everyone can share in this excitement.  To start off, we want to flood Mashable with Taposé tips.  They've missed our story so far and it's time they see the light.  If we all give a major push, they can't ignore us forever :)
