About this project

Boise band A Seasonal Disguise is releasing their second album: Waterfowl Of Eastern Canada. Out on the newly formed House of Ubasti collective on March 3, 2012 this campaign will run just a few days over our album release date. What we are asking for is financial help for the promotion of this album. We will be spending the money on things like merch, music videos, gear maintenance, gas and tour.

Recorded over the past two years, the material on Waterfowl Of Eastern Canada draws its primary inspiration from two trips band leader Zach House took to Montreal in 2008 and 2009. Scribbling down ideas in notebooks, sometimes getting full lyric sets, sometimes working from many random notes the groundwork for all the songs was formed. These skeletons were then carefully reworked by the band until they reached the state you hear now. A labor of love Waterfowl was recorded in Boise at the Visual Arts Collective, Ze Cat Shack, and many borrowed rooms around Boise, ID and Portland, OR. Finished in the winter of 2011, A.S.D. is proud to bring you our finest work to date.

Much love and gratitude from us to you in helping launch the next year of work!

Connected as Z.V. House (376 friends)

A dizzying whirl of barely controlled chaos permeates A Seasonal Disguise's charming, chamber rock infused orchestrations. At times infectious, at times confounding, Z.V. House's former solo project has evolved into a fully developed, seven headed, 14 armed, musical hydra, bent wholly to the task of fusing their love of Neil Young, Destroyer, ...Spencer Krug, and poutine into a hearty, clarinet leavened blend of rail hugging rock & roll. Based in Boise, Idaho, with sometime cello assist imported from Portland, Oregon, ASD spent this winter hibernating and scheming, plotting the release of their new album, Waterfowl of Eastern Canada, out March 3rd, 2012, from House of Ubasti. It can even be enjoyed by people who do not reside in Canada.
