Summer 2012 Issue // Subscription Drive

Hi all,

The Summer Issue is online! To check it out browse to our issuu page. This issue is a really exciting one, including an interview with Isa Chandra of The Post Punk Kitchen (author of our favorite cookbook, the Veganomicon), a piece on urban farming in Brookyln and a spread of summer ice creams with recipes.

We've also put up a summer subscription drive Kickstarter to increase readership and raise money for digital distribution, which we'll be rolling out on iPhone, Android and e-readers in the near future. If you've already got a subscription and you decide to get something further, just make a note of it in your order and we'll tack it on to your current subscription (so if you started at Fall 2011 and Summer 2012 would be your last issue, getting a subscription through the new Kickstarter would extend you into Summer 2013). Once the subscription drive wraps up early next month we'll be printing and shipping out the Summer Issue, so order now if you're not already subscribed!

We won't be bothering you with updates from this Kickstarter page anymore, instead sign up for our mailing list if you'd like to be informed as future issues are released. We hope you've enjoyed Chickpea so far and we thank you for your continued support!

Spring Issue

Hi All!

We haven't made a Kickstarter post in a while but just in case you guys don't follow our blog or our twitter: the Spring Issue has been printed, shipped, and (we hope) enjoyed! As usual you can check it out online for free and/or grab a copy at our store (be sure to check out the rest of the shop for Cara's new spring product line). The shop still has a few (<10) Winter issues available as well, so snatch them up while they last! Spring was a really good quarter for us, we feel like we've hit our stride as far as quality and process go, so enjoy, and thanks for all your support!

Winter Issue Available [Free] Online

We've been holding off until everyone got their magazines (and some international ones are still MIA, please contact us if you haven't already) but we thought you'd want to know that the Winter issue of Chickpea is online! Preorders and subscriptions are available on Cara's etsy shop, as well as some extra Fall issues. Thanks again to everyone for their support, and happy new year!

Rewards Shipped & Kickstarter Dinner

Hi again! We're writing to let you know that 99% of all reward packages are shipped out, and the magazine issues were finally sent out this past Monday and Tuesday, so you should be getting those any day now! It's been a lot of work to meet all the donations we received, but it's been fun and rewarding for us to do it for you.

We also had the opportunity last week to sort of teach a small cooking class for the staff of Kickstarter at their headquarters in New York City. We made these great flatbread pizzas that are really easy to make - you can find the instructions at our blog: http://hipsterfood.tumblr.com/
