Our web series Like So Many Things.... is going on a road trip. The story of Lucy and Karl continues...as a film. Help us pay for gas!
We are Anslem Richardson and Marin Gazzaniga (aka ThisThing Films) and we are raising money to turn our web series into a feature film. "Like So Many Things" follows the first date of Lucy and Karl. We shot the first "episode," a short film, with our collective of filmmaking friends and actors and it was a finalist for the Independent Film Channel's Red Bull Challenge. With IFC's interest, we were inspired to make the short film the pilot of a 7 episode series, ultimately licensed by IFC. Everyone involved donated their talents; we borrowed locations and equipment. We now want to take these characters and follow up on their relationship a year later. We've written the scripts. We start shooting in SEPTEMBER. We just need money for food, gas (this is a road trip storyline), and some equipment rentals and basic costs. Our goal with ThisThing is to make good looking, professional movies using digital technology. So far we've been pleased with the results.
