About this project
Photography has been telling stories for decades--- after all, everyone has a story to tell. But in a time of cell phones, blogs, and corporate media, simplicity has been compromised, or worst, lost.
Our goal is simple. THIS is simple.
A monthly photo magazine with roots in photojournalism, documenting the city of Louisville, Ky. and the people within. We feel that everyone has a story to tell and our staff, some of the keenest young photographers working in the area, will be an insightful and honest voice to the people.
Our goal is to raise enough money to publish the first issue, Jan. 2012, with long term goals of a year and beyond. We have already found stories and started the documentary process for building our premier issue of "THIS..is Louisville".

The majority of the photographers for "THIS...is Louisville" are graduates from the Photojournalism department at Western Kentucky University. We've all been freelancing and working professionally in the field for several years. Photography and story telling is our passion.
