About this project
Radin, Zoe Keating, Kate Havnevik, Charlotte Martin, Jim Bianco and more for almost two years (Map the Music premieres on The Documentary Channel November 24th at 8pm.) I am about to embark on another film, featuring returning artists from the first film, and different artists such as the incredible Amanda Palmer...focusing on the connection between music and love.
Why are so many songs written about love? I am excited to get out on the road again and start asking...only thing is...I need YOUR help to do it! Touring can be quite expensive and I want to talk to as MANY people as possible, in as MANY cities as possible. Not to mention I want this film to look and sound amazing, so I think its time to upgrade my equipment. With your love and support we can make this happen.
"Map the Music 2: Love Letters" will be a collection of stories from fans and artists around the world about how love has affected their taste in music. Do you hear songs differently when you are in love...or heartbroken? I want to hear from you. First stop...Tori Amos shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin. After the death of her father, music lover and filmmaker Samantha Hale set out on a road trip to try to explain the power that music has over people, following some of her favorite artists from concert to concert around the country. Through interviews with legions of devoted fans and the incredible artists who inspire them "Map the Music" was created. In this second installment of the series, Samantha sets out on the road following along with Tori Amos and fans to create a piece about the connection between music and love. And with your help, she could go around the world.
