it looks like we passed our goal in about 48 hours. well, whatever. who cares.
no, i'm kidding: it's fantastic. beyond the descriptive capacity of any prose or imagery, this truly has become the most wonderful time of the year. my gratitude to all of the generous backers, the tireless supporters, the people whose influence and foresight disseminated news of my fundraiser, and even the BMW guy on the road today who was kind of a dick at first but eventually let me in the lane. thanks, BMW guy. we couldn't have done it without you.
i'm a little stunned that this quiet and oddball project got so much attention, but my good friend don draper of sterling cooper advertising agency once said:
"You are the product. You feeling something. That's what sells."
thus despite all of the cynical advice i received on how to "market" this project, i suspect that the most potent advertising tool of an already cynical, loud, and media-saturated 2012 internet is people's intelligences being respected.
following this rudimentary update and the hustle-bustle and festive hearth of the holidays (or the despair and loneliness of bitter winter, if you're more my style), i will appear again shortly with news. stay tuned.

A classy and understated piece of ominous artwork to hang up in your castle foyer. Printed not on poster paper, nor even cardboard, but on a tough canvas material wrapped around a solid wooden box backing. It's essentially a piece of furniture. The image is larger than your torso, ultra-sinister, and effectively defeats high-energy arms fire at point-blank range--though one of those things is a lie. Numbered and signed.
