About this project

UPDATES, 4/19/2010

So we're nearing the finish line! Thank you to all who've pledged up to this point. Those with awards will receive them after our deadline, which is April 26th at 12:43 AM.

To clarify, even though we have set a $5,000 goal, we still need funds beyond that mark to help cover the $20,625 finishing costs to help pay for an editor, composer and a sound mix.

In other words, if and when we pass $5k, don't stop pledging!

Again, thanks to everyone for their love and support, and we hope to see you soon on the festival circuit!

Best,
Gerry Kim
Producer, THE HOUSE OF SUH

**************************************
Hello,

My name is Gerry Kim, and I'm the producer of the feature documentary film, THE HOUSE OF SUH, directed by Iris Shim.

Our film was recently accepted into the 2010 Hot Docs Film Festival, one of the most prominent documentary film festivals in North America. But since we're such a low budget film, Iris and I are in desperate need for finishing funds to help us get to Hot Docs.

Iris and I have calculated our costs to finish the film for the festival, which come out to $20,625. This includes payment for an editor, composer, and sound mix for the film's exhibition at the festival.

For now, we are simply setting our goal at $5,000, but if you'd like to donate a lump sum beyond that amount, there might be an Co-Executive Producer credit waiting for you! (i.e. credit on the film, poster, and all materials affiliated with the project, along with many many other perks).

Helping us reach our funding goal will help us tremendously in getting our film to Hot Docs!

For more information on THE HOUSE OF SUH, please visit our website at www.thehouseofsuh.com. We can be readily reached at contactus@thehouseofsuh.com

Best,
Gerry Kim
