Kickstarter上没有人知道如何在中国做生意。
Creator Greg Hinzmann on May 17
@FallenHalo - Per the latest update (hopefully you've been getting them) the product is ready for production and I am waiting for the production schedule from the factory. I'll post another update as soon as I have the info.
Creator FallenHalo on May 16
when will i get the Christmas presents for my family members? :P
Creator J on April 26
Any word yet? I would really like to get my hands on the Trioh...
Creator J S on April 18
3weeks is probably not so unusual when the samples ship from China.
As long as there is any progress even slow I don't mind waiting a few more seasons until seeing the light.
Creator Sam Stone on April 18
I definitely cannot receive any package sending to me from June, so could you provide your best estimation of the delivery time?
Creator Greg Hinzmann on April 18
@Thomas: No lens yet. Should have an update later this week.
Creator Thomas Yeo on April 18
@Greg Hinzmannn It's been almost 3 weeks since your comment, I suppose the lense should have already arrived by now. Could you please proceed to give us some update on the situation? We are coming direly close to the 1 year mark since project was successfully funded.
Creator Greg Hinzmann on March 27
@James Petts - The factory is providing another sample for the lens, which should be arriving soon. Another update will follow then.
@Joe - Answers are in the FAQ.
Creator James Petts on March 26
Update?
Creator Joe on March 7
Is the battery going to be replaceable..!? Lifetime warranty..!?
Creator James Petts on March 5
Can we get an update, please, Greg?
Creator Kee Ken Fong on February 26
Hi Greg,
Like many others, I was immediately caught by surprise when I chanced upon your idea of what a beautiful daily-use flashlight could and should look like. And like many others too, I did feel at some point that I might have wasted a good load of money (plus international shipping) on a project that seems to have kicked the bucket from the start when you started missing the proposed delivery dates.
Lately however, I've been following up on your updates and comments as they appear and realised that I still very much would like to have a Trioh in my house, probably as much as you are trying to get the best product out to us. I'm certain that I'm not the only one who's still really eager to see you bring the project to fruition (sans the vitriolic expectations and comments) and we are willing to wait it out for you to work your magic on the final products before they are shipped.
Yes, I would love to see more photos. Yes, I would love read more about the details. But in the spirit of things, I (and many others, i hope) fully support your endeavor and trust that you'll be able to turn this into another Kickstarter success story. Thank you for your efforts thus far and please do keep us updated as best you can in this project.
Looking forward to the Trioh, as I had been all these while : )
Cheers,
Kee Ken
Creator Greg Hinzmann on February 23
@Thomas Yeo: I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. All information about the development process for the Trioh! has been documented in my updates. My goal from the beginning has been to deliver the best product that I can. As with any project that is still in development, unforeseen challenges can arise. I have been very upfront about what was happening with the Trioh! schedule from the moment I launched on Kickstarter. Backers need to realize that they are backing someone that is going through a process to complete their project and I, like everyone on Kickstarter, am doing my best to fulfill the project goals. These products are not sitting on a shelf waiting to be shipped. None of us are happy when delays happen, but that is the nature of the process. Challenges arise and we do our best to overcome them and the smaller the outfit, the more effort it can take to marshall the resources to address any issues. I'm grateful for every backer I have on this project as it would not be moving forward without all of you. Every penny raised has gone toward Trioh! production (and is only a small fraction of what is required). Updates will continue to be provided as I have things to update. For the last several months, the factory has been working on the Trioh! tooling and my job is merely to review samples when they arrive. As I have stated in a previous update, details on a ship date will be provided when production commences and I have that schedule from the factory. It's important to remember that when dealing with factories for production of Kickstarter projects, most of us are small customers placing small orders. Large companies place orders that are ten, twenty or one hundred times larger than ours, so it is difficult for us to get priority treatment. I have been very happy so far with the factory that I am using and look forward to delivering a cool product as soon as I can.
@Jan de Vries: Spring begins on March 20th and ends on June 19th.
Creator Thomas Yeo on February 20
This is seriously beginning to look like a badly managed project.
Creator Jan de Vries on February 11
When does Spring 2013 begin?
Creator Ken Workman on February 10
I'm frustrated that Greg has not seen fit to provide any information since January 22nd. He promised an update by that weekend (Jan 26/27). Surely, asking for a few brief words is not unreasonable and would not involve a great deal of Greg's time.
Creator J S on February 8
;-)
Creator Brad Dancer on February 7
Didn't realize I was in a hurry. Simply like an update, no big thing, I am interested in the process and what's going on. Thanks for not jumping to conclusions.
Creator J S on February 5
Whats the hurry? Im sure Greg would have told us if the T2 parts had flaws. He also has a day job in the night and on the weekends. For $98021 on the side I would not write many updates too. My time is worth way more.
Creator Brad Dancer on February 4
Any update yet?
Creator J on January 31
Where is the update? :(
Creator J S on January 27
Cool! Can't wait.
Creator Greg Hinzmann on January 22
I'll be reviewing T2 parts later this week with a full update by the weekend.
Creator Brad Dancer on January 22
updates?
Creator Andrés Vielma on January 17
Any new updates?
Creator Daniel Philipps on December 28
Hello Greg!
Thanks for some great updates! Looks likes this is gonna be a great product! Take your time!
Creator J on December 27
Hey Greg,
Thanks for the updates! Please provide us an update at least every 2 weeks! Any communication helps keep backers calm, whether you're waiting for parts from the factory, waiting for someone to contact you, the items have shipped, etc - literally any news and communication goes a long way to make us happy :)
Creator Greg Hinzmann on December 19
All - my day job has had me extremely busy the last few weeks (nights and weekends included). I'll be posting an update in a couple days after finishing review of the T! parts from the factory.
@JS - Thanks, but the Trioh! has slipped a bit more than a month as past updates have indicated. As the part review process progresses, I'll be able to provide a firmer date in future updates.
@Chee Soon Goh - Be sure to follow the updates as I have been posting schedule updates since July.
@James P - Yes, I've followed up. And as I've stated in my updates the Trioh! is in production with the factory (a fairly large and reputable one at that), no need to be so negative.
@Sam S - Keep following the updates. I sure hope to be shipping you your Trioh! before next summer!
Creator J S on December 18
Come on. Give him a break. Its just one month over the estimated delivery date. With a few exceptions most Kickstarter projects take about 6 months longer than expected.
Creator James Petts on December 17
Greg - please give an update. You're two weeks out from your last one. Have you not followed up with the delayed shipments?
Creator Chee Soon Goh (BRUNEI) on December 16
hm.. when can i actually get this stuff??? It's DEC now :)
Creator James Petts on December 14
Can we get an update? I'm wondering if this is yet another KS project down the crapper....
Creator J S on November 22, 2012
Happy Thanksgiving.
Hoping all is well.
Creator Sam Stone on November 13, 2012
Hey Greg, how's everything going with the production? According to your recent update, a final prototype would be ready in February right? Do you happen to know when the shipping begin because I might be out of state next summer. It might be good to know that I could receive my Trioh before that time.
Creator Greg Hinzmann on October 30, 2012
@brad dancer - It's going well. Still on schedule per the last update and working to get the Trioh! out as soon as I can. I certainly hope you and everyone else are weathering the storm okay on the east coast (even without a Trioh!).
Creator Brad Dancer on October 29, 2012
how's it going - (thinking of this project during Hurricane Sandy here on the east coast)
Creator Brian Ross on October 10, 2012
Looking good! Thanks for the latest update. Sounds like things are all tracking forward nicely. I know these things take time to get right. Thanks for your attention to the details, Greg! Best of luck moving through the upcoming phases.
Creator Greg Hinzmann on October 9, 2012
@Charles & @Mitchell: Just had a meeting yesterday. Update coming today.
Creator Charles A. on October 9, 2012
@Mitchell I'm afraid it’s going to be a long wait till we get an update worthwhile. I have expressed an understanding for delayed projects but my concern grows each day because Greg in his updates acknowledged that he is a designer not an engineer but unfortunately, the setbacks are squarely engineering not design.
"As I had mentioned in an update a while back, the factory had some issues with the design of some internal parts and I had an engineer help to resolve the issues."
“This process doesn't happen quickly because I am not an engineer and I am doing this as a solo endeavor. Whenever these issues arise, I have to source some help.” Unless his resources are free, this project will be hemorrhaging cash.
Engage your backers Greg, you may be surprised at the feedback you can receive here but more importantly, your backers will be more inclined to defend your work because they can understand exactly what issues you’re having. The sporadic updates you’ve given come as a result of being pressured here to update and not very organic given that this is your idea that you want the world and backers to see. My comments here are deliberate to motivate you to engage and keep us updated. I continue to wish you best of luck!!
Kind regards
Creator Mitchell Davis on October 4, 2012
Any updates?
Creator Greg Hinzmann on September 25, 2012
Charles A: Thanks for the concern, but I want to make it clear that this project will be delivered. I will be providing updates as news arises and will also let backers know roughly when they can expect the next update. I've provided all the technical details and specs that I have at this point. Any more will follow when they are finalized.
Creator Charles A. on September 25, 2012
Hi Greg,
Please consider posting an update more frequently given the challenges you're having. I've backed you since day one and have been asking about the technical details but still no information. I'm well aware that there is a chance that you may not deliver on this project but at least providing a better communication platform makes it easier to bear with the progress. You may or may not have much to update but at least tell us what you worked on since the last update. As I mentioned, I remain optimistic but it is dwindling.
Cheers.
Creator Greg Hinzmann on September 18, 2012
J: I've been waiting for some feedback from the factory. Hoping to have it soon, but will issue a progress report if it doesn't come today.
Creator J on September 18, 2012
So any update at all...? Seems like nothing has been done yet :(
Creator Charles A. on September 10, 2012
Thanks for the follow up Greg!! Although sad to learn, it unfortunately does answer my first question but I do understand that a fixed date so far out would be a moving target. That aside, I remain optimistic and am truly looking forward to a robust update later this week.
Cheers!
Creator Greg Hinzmann on September 10, 2012
@Charles A. - Update #3 had a schedule update. All the product specs that I have are on the project page (I don't have final specs on some items yet).
Creator Charles A. on September 10, 2012
HI Greg, it is great that you are planning an update this week. There are a few things you should definitely include
1 - Can you meet your November delivery?
2 - A timeline to delivery
3 - Product specs (which I asked way before the product even closed and you promised but haven't updated that) and finalized design.
4 - Commit to an update timeline to keep backers happy and in tune to the progress....this can be as frequent to at least 1 every 15 days.
Thanks!
Creator Greg Hinzmann on September 10, 2012
I've been planning an update, but have been awaiting some news. Look for an update this week.
Creator Andrew Brenner on September 9, 2012
We as backers like to be a part of the projects we help fund, so things like how it's going, the good, the bad, the ugly. What the factory had issues with, if those issues have been resolved, etc...
Pictures would be awesome, pictures of prototypes, pictures of manufacturing plant, pictures of mold (if there are any), estimated timetables (example: expecting to start manufacture is A to B weeks, manufacture should take C days/weeks, shipping for manufacture to distribution point ~D weeks, distribution should take E days to get into the mail to the backers).
Thanks!
