Creator Brad Dancer on March 2
hello, updates!!!
Creator Steven Marsh on February 27
It's been a couple of months since the last update; is there any new news? Are we still on schedule for a "Spring" release of Part 2 (which would put it in March to June-ish)?
Creator Jason Umphress on February 25
Any updates? Did I miss something? Is this thing on? Pinch hitting for Pedro Borbon... Manny Mota... Mota... Mota...

Creator Monty Crenshaw on September 14, 2012
Did I miss an update or email about sending a pic? I'm a $300 backer and I really want my ugly mug in the book!

Can't wait to hear the first post-campaign update. So exciting!
Creator Aabra Jaggard on April 29, 2012
Congratulations! And, wow, nearly $42 each. Isn't the average KS donation closer to $25?
Creator Scott Baker on April 28, 2012
Congrats Bill!

Can't wait to see the finished product!
Creator Jason Umphress on April 27, 2012
My OCD compells me to make a comment to bring the count up to an even number. Sorry. Soooo, anyway...Can't wait for the book.
Creator Ryan McGrail on April 20, 2012
Makes perfect sense. Thanks for the reply Mr. Corbett :D.
Creator Bill Corbett on April 20, 2012
Thanks for the Q, Ryan. I will let Len comment on that if he wants. But here's my two cents: maybe customized to a point, but it has to fit the story. The reason we said "crowd scene" is that's where we can fit a limited number of people in, and make it look like them, but not have to invent whole new story points to justify a certain look or action. I hope that makes sense!
Creator Ryan McGrail on April 19, 2012
Question for Mr. Corbett/ Mr. Peralta: I realize I'm getting ahead of myself here, but, just out of curiosity, for those of us being drawn into the comic, can we customize/ have input as to how we look in the comic?
Creator Jacob McLaughlin on April 18, 2012
YES! IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats, Bill!
Creator Ryan McGrail on April 18, 2012
Yeah! Objective reached.
Creator Aabra Jaggard on April 18, 2012
Congrats, Bill!
Creator Steve Turczyn on April 18, 2012
Woo hoo! Fantastic! Well, done, all of ... wait, that means I gotta pay the $300?...
Creator Jason Umphress on April 18, 2012
It was either back Bill Corbett or help Sarah Mclachlan's dog's. I figure Bill wouldn't pee on my rug. I could be wrong though.
Creator Alan Lemm on April 18, 2012
Fully funded!! Good job, everyone.
Creator Ally Thompson on April 18, 2012

Creator Simcha Gralla on April 18, 2012
Looks like today's going to be the day you hit your goal. Pre-congratulations! Looking forward to November (and any bones you throw along the way).
Creator Karen OBrien on April 18, 2012
As someone who has relied on "The Deadly Bees", "The Final Sacrifice", "Time Chasers" and "Riding With Death" (along w/ many others!) to get through the tough times, I happily and with much gratitude offer my support. Best wishes!
Creator Caroline Elizabeth Troullis on April 18, 2012
One of my fondest memories of college is sneaking into lecture halls in the middle of the night and watching old episodes of MST3k on the giant projectors. I've been to every Rifftrax live event so far and ended up crying from laughter at each one. Bill has also good-naturedly responded to several of my silliest tweets over the years. Not only hilarious, but generous to us fans! Bill, please consider my donation an extremely tiny repayment for years of laughter!
Creator Shawnzaa on April 18, 2012
Comics plus Bill Corbett equals a definite backing from me. Much love from a MST3K/Rifftrax fan.
Creator Jacob McLaughlin on April 17, 2012
Wow, you are just about $2,000 dollars away. I cannot describe my excitement for this. I don't usually get that excited for comics, because there are just so many storylines or different variations of a character, but this sounds awesome and very original. If I could give more, I would, but I have a wedding to save up for. Marriage.....Bill Corbett comic.....Marriage....Bill Corbett comic.
Creator Mr Sheff on April 17, 2012
The wait is already killing me, but hopefully watching "Curse of Bigfoot" later will help. Good luck on meeting your goal, and keep up the great work over at Rifftrax!
Creator Scott Olson on April 17, 2012
You had my support as soon as you turned out to be Bill Corbett wearing a Dr. Who scarf.
Creator Ally Thompson on April 17, 2012
Upped my pledge and felt like posting an anecdote. I met Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy at Dragon*Con a few years ago. After their Rifftrax panel the guys signed autographs and took photos for several minutes until we all got cleared out of the room their panel was in. Instead of leaving they walked with several of us who hadn't gotten autographs or pictures yet down the hotel hallways until we found an area to continue. Bill truly appreciates and is most generous to his fans. I am so happy to see this project so close, it is only a matter of time so please spread the word and help out an incredibly talented guy!
Creator William S. Mitchell III on April 17, 2012
Any chance that down the line you might release a narrated slideshow-esque version that would allow people, such as myself, with terrible traditions to add your product to the already stellar line up of a the many xmas related Rifftraxs that are played during various year end/holiday get-togethers?
Creator William Henry on April 17, 2012
You are my favorite rifftrax/mst3k guy so it is pretty awesome to be able to take part in supporting this project! :D
Creator Bill Corbett on April 16, 2012
Thanks Ryan, very well said.
Steve, whatever your opinion -- thank you kindly for backing this project. Much appreciated.
Creator Ryan McGrail on April 16, 2012
Steve, there's some things you need to try to understand about Kickstarter campaigns and pledge drives in general. When PBS or NPR does pledge drives, $50 often gets you a tote bag or an Elmo plush. The pledge money doesn't go solely toward the reward; the reward is more like a thank you gift. A good amount of the money needs to go to fund the project itself, otherwise none of these projects would get the proper funding. This isn't a cookie-cutter system; every comic book project can't be funded the exact same way. This isn't like walking into a comic book shop, where items have a set retail value; these are works-in-progress that need money from us, the backers and supporters, in order to reach the public. Please try to keep these things in mind when offering criticism to Kickstarter campaigns.
Creator Bill Corbett on April 16, 2012
Thanks Steve. Not sure why you feel the need to do this here in public, but so be it. I take issue with some of your premises, but I don't want to turn this into a back-and-forth where I try to justify the cost to you. I trust that people will either decide they think it's worth it to them, and fund this... or not. And that includes YOU, of course. But Kickstarter doesn't allow one to adjust pricepoints mid-funding period, so at this point that's a done deal. That's all I'm going to say right now. Back to my struggling.
Creator Steven Marsh on April 16, 2012
Bill, I'm a supporter of this, but -- as a virtual "friend"/pundit, who's seen this project struggle to get funded -- I do feel I need to comment. Aren't the rewards here awfully expensive (from a Kickstartee POV)? I mean, it takes the $100 level to get a printed copy of the project being plugged... which is really steep for a 64-page comic.
To put it in perspective (looking at projects with similar goals), here's a project that gets you two 150-page books for $65 -- http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/meacollab/extra-ordinary-comics-vol-1-and-2
Here's another that's $30 for a hardcover -- http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1803036765/fairy-quest
... and another at $25 for a 144-page hardcover -- http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/readingwithpictures/the-graphic-textbook
I suspect that you've got a lot of virtual fans who want to see this project, but $100 goes a LONG way on Kickstarter, and even $15 for the ebook version of SPRC is a rough offering compared to almost all other other digital comics.
Just my two cents. Best wishes!
Creator Ryan McGrail on April 16, 2012
No way Fred, I still have nightmares about the Ice Cream Bunny. After seeing Rifftrax's "Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny," clowns were pleasant by comparison :(. His laugh made my blood curdle.
Creator Fred on April 15, 2012
Forget Santa. He should dress as the Ice Cream Bunny.
Creator Ryan McGrail on April 13, 2012
A sort of follow-up to James Enright's question: For the physical rewards, will you, Mr. Corbett, personally deliver the rewards to our homes dressed as Santa Claus himself, riding a fully functional magical slay driven by fully functional magical reindeer, shimmy down our chimneys, put the rewards beneath our Christmas tree, and, if our children happen to catch a glimpse of you in your jolly red suit as you eat home baked cookies and drink a glass of milk, will you sprinkle magic pixie dust across their innocent faces to make them forget they saw you? WILL YOU?
Creator Jennifer Purdue on April 13, 2012
I am supah excited that this is my first Kickstarter campaign! That's right, I'm so excited that the "e" and "r" flew off supah and was replaced by an "a" and "h". Good luck Bill!
Creator Bryan Baker on April 13, 2012
First Kickstarter campaign I've ever contributed to...looking forward to seeing this happen.
Creator Bill Corbett on April 10, 2012
James Enright: excellent question, thank you. Will look into it and get something into the FAQ as soon as I do.
Creator Jamas Enright on April 10, 2012
Hi, given the physical rewards, you may want to add an answer to the question: "As an international backer, do I need to add money to cover postage?"
Creator Sean Wall on April 9, 2012
Hi Bill,
I love Christmas specials and I also like comic books. But when placed together (especially with your writing and Len Peralta's artwork!), I'm afraid my "Squee-quotient" may exceed recommended levels. So, if you hear a faint explosion coming from the vicinity of Florida, you'll know what it is. Looking forward to reading the book!
Creator Zackary Collins on April 7, 2012
The art and concept sound amazing so far. I really can't wait to get my hands on this. One quick question, is there any way we could get the physical comic signed by you and/or Len? I know you will be signing the "Gathering of Heros" shot and I was just wondering if it was possible to get the comic signed as well.
Creator Bill Corbett on April 6, 2012
Thanks Ellen! I am crazy-excited to team up with Len on this. Great artist with a wonderful sense of humor.
