Sonic Circuits is one of the premier music festivals that celebrates experimental music of all genres from around the world. The festival seeks to challenge, provoke and inspire audiences by presenting the best in free improv, noise, artrock, sound art, contemporary classical, and unclassifiable music and provide a platform for artists to share and network with other musicians from Washington DC and from other countries. The tenth edition of the festival will take place September 18-25, 2010 in the Washington DC metro area.
Organizing a festival of this scope is a massive undertaking and a costly one at that. Sonic Circuits relies on private donations and volunteers to make it happen. Your donation will help us cover our printing costs for promotional materials, sound equipment rental, and help house and feed visiting musicians from afar. With your help we can make this festival the best one yet!
Sonic Circuits is a program of Improv Arts, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation is tax deductible.
All donations of $20 or more will receive a festival t-shirt.
These high quality shirts are made by American Apparel and are available in the following sizes:
men's: s, m, l, xl, xxl
women's: s, m, l, xl
women's babydoll style: s, m, l, xl
women's spaghetti strap style: s, m, l, xl
When this kickstarter project ends you will receive an email with info on how you can specify the t-shirt size and style and provide a postal address. If you do not live in the DC area please add $5 for shipping and handling.

Washington, DC
The Sonic Circuits Festival of Experimental Music was initiated by the American Composers Forum (ACF) in 2001 to provide DC's music and art communities with the opportunity to sample experimental and avant-garde electronic music, with an emphasis on improvisation and artistic use of new technologies.
Now celebrating its tenth year, Sonic Circuits programs music year round and presents the best in electro-acoustic compositions, free jazz, improv, noise rock, electronic drone and experimental folk, as well as live video and film programs, from DC area artists and from around the world.
Sonic Circuits seeks to foster the spirit of collaboration through the diversity of participating artists, and to provoke, challenge, and inspire audiences with innovative performances.
