Story

  Mitosis: A fringe scientist has created a way for a person to split into two separate human beings. He shares this knowledge with only his wife. He plans to have her assist him as he becomes the first guinea pig, a step he desires to take in order to make a large reveal to the scientific community that has shunned him. 

  This plan, and subsequent action, results in not only moral and ethical debate with her, but flashbacks and nightmares that she cannot shake. Her amnesia of a car crash and coma from years earlier leave room to question her own past, and even birth. Her husband's background and intentions are not what they appear to be, and the reveal leaves her with a shocking decision.

  Beneath the shock and horror of these fringe experiments are underlying questions of humanity: Which body receives the original soul, if at all? Can man-made life be human? When science cures aging will quality of life increase, or merely destroy the meaning of life for all of humanity?

This story dives further into these questions, while twisting and entertaining the audience.

How You Can Help

  Your pledge will help pay and feed the cast and crew, special effects needs, as well as rent locations, props, and lights. Audition and rehearsal spaces will also need renting. The crew already has trained and talented members willing to work for a lower fee in order to make this project a reality. Please help us realize this goal.

About Me

Lance: I am a freelance filmmaker/editor, seasoned background actor, and blogger currently residing in New York City. I created the Dutch Tilt Film Festival in 2010 as a yearly fundraiser and celebration for the Holland Theatre in Logan County, Ohio. I am a graduate of the New York Film Academy (2005), and former student of the Wright State University film program.
