SUPPORT ZACCHO YOUTH COMPANY'S  FIRST EVER NATIONAL TOUR  TO ATLANTA, GEORGIA  JULY 16-21, 2012!

Zaccho Youth Company, under the direction of Joanna Haigood, is fundraising for its first national tour this summer to Atlanta, Georgia. The company will be participating in a week long performance residency with Atlanta's teen aerial troupe from the D'AIR Project. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to share our work with a completely new audience and to exchange ideas with other youth aerialists. 

We’ve been gearing up for this moment....now you can help make it happen!

Zaccho Youth Company is a pre-professional aerial dance company based in San Francisco since 2004. We range in age from 9 to 19 years old and have performed all over the Bay Area, including the Montalvo Art Center, Project Artaud Theater, The Discovery Museum, ODC Theater, the Global Youth Media and Arts Festival and at our benefit events at Teatro ZinZanni. Our work combines the daring and grace of aerial dance while addressing issues such as environmental justice, racial identity and youth empowerment. We are thrilled to have a chance to bring our work to Atlanta!

We are currently raising funds for our plane fares and expenses. We need to raise $7,000 in total and have opened this Kickstarter campaign to help us meet our goals.  Please consider supporting us as we begin the next phase of our work....touring!
