Te recipient of this gift liked it so much, she ended up draining the whole bottle in less than a week. I hope you can find a way to make it commercially available as a regular product and maintain the same quality standards.

I apologize to all my Canadian backers for the delay in shipping. Not only the problem with customs but shipping up there twice is costing me twice as much as you backed me for. For example, for all you $20 Canadian backers, it cost me $20 just to ship it to you the first time. Now that those shipments have been returned, it's going to cost $20 more. So please be patient. Money's tight. That's why I got on Kickstarter in the first place. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Got mine today! It's in the fridge for the night. After opening I'm assuming it should be kept refrigerated?

@Ryan Snyder, thank you for your appreciation. That's what I was going for: fruit forward pepper flavor then heat but not so much that you couldn't eat more. Enjoy and thanks for the support!

Got my bottle on Saturday. No explosion issue, just a tiny burp of gas on opening, though it was plenty cold outside where the mailbox sits. Thank you for the delicious sauce! I've been a hot food freak for decades and this has got to be one of the finest tasting hot sauces I've ever had! The flavor of the peppers really shines through brightly. Yum! How can I get some more?

My family and I were fortunate enough to get a test batch of the sauce last week. Since then we've managed to put it on just about everything we eat! The flavor is SO vibrant and so good but it's the zing and the spice that gives it that crack-like addictive quality. Try it on your eggs, your burgers, your lasagna because we did and we LOVED it! Thank you Sunny, we can't wait to see where this take you!

Hmm, you are putting it in whiskey bottles, aging it in whiskey barrels...and using a label highly reminiscent of a very well known whiskey brand.

Gosh, I really hope you don't get in trouble before you even get started here. I am 100% a backer and love your idea and your ingredients and passion, but why potentially get yourself in trouble over your label?

Both my graphic designer and I being from Texas, I think we were subconsciously influenced by the rodeo belt buckles we'd see worn by the "kickers" (urban cowboys) as we were growing up (and still do to this day because the more things change, the more they stay the same). You know the ones with their names branded on the back of the leather belts. No? At least, that's what it reminds me of.

I love the logo b/c it screams "Brooklyn!!!" I suppose it's similar to the Jack Daniels lable in a way b/c of the old school Industrial Revolution look and the colors but it never crossed my mind until I saw Tuco's comment (and to be fair, the book cover in question was pretty much a copy of the JD label with words swapped out). Sunny, can't wait to try the sauce and I hope you go really far with this!! I'm already salivating!

I work with Chef Sunny so I get to interface with him on a daily basis and can say first-hand that he is EXTREMELY passionate about every aspect of this project, from the flavor of the sauce to the bottles to the sustainability. He's committing his best efforts to the product, and I'm confident he will deliver an exceptional end result, which is why I backed him!

Speaking of the end result, I also had the opportunity to taste a test batch of the sauce. It is AMAZING! The first thing I noticed upon opening the bottle is how fresh the sauce smells. You can distinctly smell the pepper, which isn't true for most hot sauces today. The texture I would liken to that of Sriracha, but that would be an insulting comparison, because the flavor explodes! It also has just the right amount of heat, not so much that you're lunging for a glass of water but enough to satisfy those who enjoy a decent level of spicy.

I'm no hot sauce connoisseur, but I wanted to give you all who haven't had the opportunity to try the sauce at least some idea of what it's like so you know what you're getting your hands on. Personally, I'm satisfied with my donation, and am even more pleased after tasting the sauce. Can't wait for my bottles to show up, and to see it in stores sometime in the near future. Let's get the man his money!

As with many great concertos and sonatas, it's a variation on a theme. Fermented sour mash and freshly burned oak barrels are what give bourbon its distinctive flavor and color. I am using recycled whiskey barrels from Brad Estabrooke at the Breuckelen Distillery in Red Hook (who only uses local grains to make his tasty whiskey and gin) to ferment my peppers in. (I feel it lends a hint of smoke and oak sweetness to the hot sauce.) Therefore in keeping with the theme, I use the glass whiskey flask to bottle in and the Old West-style label, which we specifically designed so it didn't look like the Jack Daniel's label. Variation on a theme. Thanks for your feedback and support!

I'm not a fan of the actual label, it's too Jack Daniel's style for me. But everything else looks fabulous and I wish you luck!

      You might read this... http://mashable.com/2012/07/22/jack-daniels-trademark-letter/

P.S. I think you actually might attract more backers if the label was different.
