The character from the "Death is Good" and "Death, the early years" t-shirt line comes to life in this book that tells his story.
The Death is Good book will finally tell the story behind the character that has been gracing our shirt designs for the past several years. Where did he come from? How did he grow up? Why is he always so happy?
There are still a few tweaks being made, but the final book will be 6"x6", printed in full color with a glossy cover. It is presented rather like a "children's book for adults". It will be a minimum 48 pages, possibly as many as 60.
We're using Kickstarter for this project because if we can put together the funding up front, we'll be able to make the first run of the book much larger. We want to reach not only the existing fans, but start to reach out through comic stores and other booksellers, and having a larger first run will allow us to do that. We've been talking to many of our fans at conventions and markets where we sell our shirts, and people are eager to see the book.
We've set the goal at a level that will allow us to pay for the first run size we want. If we manage to go over the goal, that will just mean we can do an even larger first edition run.
