Do you need a gentle, yet comprehensive way to remind your child that while he or she is incredibly special to you, he/she may not get absolutely everything they want in the world, or succeed at every venture?  Do you have a friend who just lost a job or failed an important exam and needs to be reminded that everyone screws up?

THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU!

My generation grew up being told that we could do anything we wanted, be whoever we wanted, and enjoy unparalleled success.  Cut to the real world where most of us are not quite living the dream and, frankly, a little let down.  Don't repeat our parent's mistakes!  Let your children know early that failure and disappointment are an unavoidable part of life, and that the best way to manage them is to keep trying, keep laughing and keep remembering that they are loved.

WHY KICKSTARTER? I am putting this on kickstarter because, while I have the text of the book mostly written, I do not have any of the artwork and I need to hire someone to collaborate with me on that.  I also will need some funds to promote the book once it's complete, and I'm trying to gauge general interest in a book that presents a less sunny outlook than your traditional children's book.

OVERFUNDING GOALS: The current funding goal is enough to finish and publish the book, but there is always more I would love to do, like...
- Consult with a graphic designer on the layout, fonts, colors, etc.
- Publish as a physical book.
- Create an app that allows the book to be customized to a particular person.
- Kick it Forward (fund other Kickstarter projects).
