Sk8 Kamp at the Playa

Please pledge your support so that we can reach our goal. We have many people who like us on Facebook, but the project doesn't happen just with FB likes, we need your contributions..... It's on! We have registered Sk8 Kamp for Burning Man where we will build a skate park at our camp.  Why should us skaters have to go without skating for a week just because we're in the desert? You can get a bit of an idea what we are thinking from the sketches. Wood and transporting it to Nevada isn't cheap, so we're asking for your help to support to make this project a reality.  We're planning to start the construction in the SF Bay area, so we need to rent some space to do that too. We have some fun rewards and the biggest reward will be that you can skate it out at Burning Man. 

A bit more about the design..we have a 2.5' half pipe with a 4' extension, two wallrides (one on the side of the truck and one on the front of the stage/DJ table), a pump hump and a pyramid box.  We'll try to add more features and refine the design as we get the resources to start building.

The skaters on the ramp will be pumped up with live Punk Bands.

For a costs breakdown. We expect the materials to cost ~$1500 and $200-400 to rent space to build, and a few hundred to transport out to the desert. We expect the total to be $2000-2500.  Every bit will help.
