A wild ride through Bethany's turbulent adoptive family leading, eventually, to the inevitable first phone call to her birth mother.
"North Blvd" has been a vision for over 10 years. From the time I took the stage to tell the very first raw rendition of this very personal story, I knew in my heart that it would make a beautiful film. The one woman show was initially entitled, "It Happened To Me". When the screenplay started to take form, I decided to change the stage title to "North Blvd" to match the screenplay title. For these 10 years, I have held such a strong vision...literally SEEING this film on the screen in my mind has been such a source of joy for me. So inspiring. It no longer feels that I am stretching my arms out toward that goal..it is now HERE. Now is the time. I am working night and day as not only the writer and co-director of this short film but also as a producer. Upon its completion, I plan to submit it to film festivals (of course, Austin film fest!) and many others BUT it will also be a great marketing tool for the full length feature film version of the story.
