Tellurian is the story of a young girl who sets on out on a cloudy night to see the stars.
Holy Cow! We hit our goal! Thanks so much for everyone who contributed! We shoot Saturday, Feb 18th and are now more motivated than ever!
Though we hit our goal, every little bit helps. We can still use it to get an extra light, or get something nicer than just pizza to feed the cast and crew. But thanks again, the contributions have already helped a lot!

The story of this short film:
I was born and raised in Yelm, Washington and went to school at Washington State University. In 2007 I moved down to Los Angeles to make it big in film and TV. Since then, I've had the good fortune to work on several successful TV shows.
It's time for me to get back to my first love: the simple joy of making a film. I struggled with the story for this short for about a year, trumpeting the mantra, "writing is rewriting!"
To help, many of my TV friends have risen to the occasion: A veteran editor agreed to edit, an amazing producer agreed to produce, and an outstanding visual effects artist agreed to, um, visual effects it.
I'm totally in love with this story. It's short, sweet, and (because I can't help myself), sprinkled with mysterious and fantastical sciencey elements. I mean, just look up the word "Tellurian" and see for yourself.
I've saved up for a long time to create a short and start my career as moving-picture story teller. A lot of the money I've saved will go to essentials: food for the cast, batteries, gasoline, etc. Every dollar after that goes to enhance the 'production value' of the film -- lights, dollies, jibs; all those things that make a film feel more like a film. And every single dollar helps.
That's why I created this kick starter account: to ask for your help. There are some rewards, but odds are I'll send you a copy of the finished product if you just ask regardless of donation. Don't help out for the jaw-dropping rewards. Do it because you believe a crazy idea can be a good idea every now and again.
