About my line, you ask?

It started with pony beads and daisy chains and evolved to fashioning necklaces out of matchsticks and lemon slices.  The junk pile was my haven and I've been making jewelry ever since I could remember.  As we fast forward to the present, I introduce my self titled fine jewelry line, KRISTY LIN. which is inspired by films, conceptual art, and the human preoccupation with beauty. I launched my first collection early this year, and hope with the help of Kickstarter that this is the first of many more. I find jewelry like any other medium of art, a form of expression and creation.  What sets jewelry apart is its function of human adornment, naturally imbuing it with sentimentality.  The common theme running through my jewelry is the art of story telling.  Each piece can either be imagined as a prop or an impetus of a story.

Why I need you!

The aesthetic of the pieces will range from classic to avant garde, and everything in between.  In my exploration, I seek to mimic yet expand the definition of fine jewelry. Whether you're Hepburn or Bowie, there's something for everyone.  Even for the guys (The Battered Bullet and Space Needle are unisex).With this next collection I'd like to deepen my foray into precious stones and metals.  The (obvious) catch: Gold is expensive.  Diamonds are expensive.  And so are rubies, sapphires, and emeralds.  Did I mention the costs of models, molds, and casting? There's that too.  That's where I need your help.

Incentives.

If you look at the rewards, you'll see just a sampling of what's in store. All of the rewards are my pieces at seriously discounted prices, especially for this project.  You truly won't ever see them this low again.  So really, this is a great opportunity to get some KRISTY LIN jewelry at great prices.If you'd like to see what I come up with next with this collection, donate a dollar! (or two, or three, or five hundred).  This money is going to be for a lot of stuff.  Models, molds, casting, materials (diamonds and silver and gold, oh my!), packaging.  Not to mention a good portion is going to fund your rewards :).  Whether you donate out of curiosity, or for the rewards, every dollar is appreciated. Even if you are not able to donate, please spread the word! Remember, Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing deal.  I'll only receive the funding if I reach my goal of $10,000. It doesn't matter if $1 is pledged or $9,999, if it's not at least $10,000, I get zilch.  (Of course, going over is perfectly alright).
