TOURCHATS FOR CYCLING FANS LIVE SHOW
TourChats is a weekly live interactive web show hosted by cycling sportswriters Neil Browne and Dan Wuori. Known for their humorous approach to covering the sport, they create a fun experience for cycling fans as they discuss hot topics and interview guests.Neil and show producer, Pamela Wood Browne, started creating unique fan experiences for Versus.com during the 2010 Tour de France. When Versus.com was dissolved in the merger with NBC/Universal earlier this year - Pamela and Neil decided to continue creating interactive online events independently. The fan support for our 2011 Tour de France live chats was amazing!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Now that we are creating a weekly online live show - including podcast versions - we need more fan support! (Whoa, turns out that web hosting fees for video podcasts are not cheap!) We would also like to create some long awaited awaited TourChats schwag for our fans. Our minimum fundraising goal is $3,000. Additional funds will help us improve and grow the show, as well as produce special shows on location. Neil and Dan together at Interbike? Oh yeah, that would be fun to see!
We really appreciate your support!

International Supporters
Please add $4 to the $25 level, $8 if you are getting the t-shirt and $10 if you are also getting the iPad sleeve! Thanks! (We can't edit reward info once someone has chosen that level.)
MORE INFO ABOUT TOURCHATS
TourChats is live video show for cycling fans
Interactive format gives online audience opportunity to be part of show
Greenville, SC – TourChats, the only live weekly cycling talk show, is entering its fourth month with several great guests booked for future episodes. The interactive live show broadcasted Sunday nights at 9:00 pm Eastern time is hosted by Neil Browne and Dan Wuori and produced by Pamela Wood Browne.
The list of TourChats live interviews include pro riders Jeremy Powers, Michael Creed, Adam Myerson, Tom Danielson, Lucas Euser, Floyd Landis, as well as icon Gary Fisher. Professional athletes haven’t been the only guests – Joey Mullan whose YouTube viral video (Joey’s okay) captured him spectacularly crashing over a cyclocross barrier was a guest on TourChats. Twitter personality @mmmaiko made an appearance from a bubble bath.Upcoming guests include Tim Johnson, Phil Gaimon and Jonathan Vaughters – director of Garmin-Cervelo.
Co-host Neil Browne has been involved in cycling most of his life and was brought up listening to the tales of his father’s experience as a professional racer in England. Neil’s journalism career has included five years as editorial director of ROAD Magazine and writing a column for Versus.com. His articles have also appeared at VeloNews.com, Cyclingnews.com, RoadCycling.com, as well as Paved and Road Bike Action magazines.
“TourChats allows me to do something I have always enjoyed, interviewing people in a manner which utilizes my sense of humor combined with cycling. At the same time we have had serious interviews as we did with Joe Papp,” said Neil.
Dan Wuori is the other half of the TourChats hosting team. A passionate fan of the sport, Wuori’s hilarious, cycling-themed Twitter feed caught him the attention of Velo Magazine – which landed him both a monthly column and the semi-regular series “The Livestream Diaries” on VeloNews.com. His rapier wit has made him a favorite among pros.
“I’ve been really gratified by the response to the show. We’ve grown an audience quickly and shown there’s an active, loyal fanbase out there,” Dan notes.
Pamela Wood Browne, producer of TourChats and Creative Director of Browne Eye Media, is a cycling fan and early-adopter of everything electronic. She brings to TourChats her experience as a web content strategist and her background in design and urban planning. In California, Pamela commuted by bike and focused on bike planning in her studies.
TourChats is live every Sunday, 9:00 pm Eastern time and can be viewed on TourChats.com. Using the Vokle.com platform, TourChat viewers can interact directly and ask questions to the guest via text or video – something other streaming video shows haven’t done. Additionally there is a “chat room” that allows interaction among viewers as well as the guests. Once inside the chatroom viewers have the option to have their questions featured in the show, either by video or by text – a unique Vokle.com feature. Episodes are available to download as a podcast directly from TourChats.com or through the iTunes directory.
In 2012 TourChats is planning on broadcasting live from the USA Cycling Pro road championships in Greenville, South Carolina; the Amgen Tour of California and Interbike.
TourChats is produced by Greenville, SC based Browne Eye Media LLC. Pamela and Neil are also founders of CarolinaCyclingNews.com, Southeast cycling source for local cyclists.

Connected as Pamela Wood Browne (309 friends)
Neil and Pamela started working together to create unique cycling fan experiences for Versus.com during the 2010 Tour de France. Earlier this year, when the Versus.com website was removed during the corporate merger with NBC/Universal, Browne Eye Media took the leap of faith to go independent in order to keep producing our great online events! As a small business, the awesome support we received from cycling fans was crucial. We are excited about using Kickstarter to reach more fans and create more fun!
