The End Film Festival Campaign

Hello, I am Jeremy W. Brown, the director of the film "The End" This is my first film, and its been my dream to make a zombie films ever since my first viewing of "Night of the Living Dead" I have held Night of the Living Dead to the highest standard since I could remember. While this may be my first time directing, I knew film well enough through years of watching to press forth with a brave new idea. I knew what I wanted and really pushed the envelope for it.

The End was a film shot on a shoestring budget, we spent almost 3 months working on our 12 minute short. It has been the product of shoot, reshoot and then shoot again. The cast and crew have been so dedicated and have given their time and efforts again and again.

So why this campaign? Well the heart and soul of this film is the artistic approach to zombie film. Some prefer blood and guts splattered all over the place, I myself do not, so my dream was to create a zombie film much like Alien, where you the audience created the creatures in your head. We all have our favorite type of zombie, and our imagination is far scarier than what we see on film.

With that in mind, we do not have the funding to put our film in film festivals. Which with your help we can achieve. I have chosen to share the film in its entirety as it stands as a short to let you see the efforts we put into it. I believe if you like the project you will donate to the cause, if you can't afford to donate, please spread the word.

The magnitude in which your donations will help, is that they will enable us to enter our film into the festivals. We have Withoutabox setup, and are ready to get rolling

We are dedicated to a different type of zombie film. A good story, oh yes, there is much more hidden on our pages to make this a series to even rival "The Walking Dead"

Too often I've seen the cheap use of gore to carry a film rather than a good story. Zombie films are guilty of this more often than not. I want to focus on the survivors and their struggles, and to really breathe life back into a saturated genre that has been filled with laughs and ridiculous story arcs.

The contributions we receive will be used only for entering this into film festivals, we wish to enter 15-20 festivals. We have a press kit ready to go on without a box, and have really put a lot of effort into it. If we don't reach our entire goal, then sadly, the dream ends here.

For most of the cast and crew, this is our first film, and we really think it turned out pretty good for what we had to work with. It was during the winter, so oftentimes we were super cold, super miserable, yet there was no quit, we all wanted this to turn out so wonderful.

I really think people will appreciate this film, as it really gives people a chance to connect with someone who is like them, that isn't some superhero cop, or a master with weaponry. Just a girl armed with a camera, striving to connect with other survivors on the backbone of the internet.

To all who contribute, I will go out of my way to make sure you are kept up to date on our film submissions, which festivals we've chosen to enter, and even more-so, to the person who invests the most to help our dream, I will gladly invite you along to any festivals we are accepted into. Granted you will have to cover your expenses, but I will treat you as much of a member of this film as any of my cast and crew.

With you we have a shot of making our dreams come true, without you, we have a film, that has no big time promoter nor a big time agency to back it, so we will never get a chance to share this properly with the world!
