Greetings from the end of the rehearsal run! We start tech rehearsals tonight, and then go into previews this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (August 2-4) at the illustrious Triad Stage Upstairs Cabaret in downtown Greensboro! Shows start at 8. It's pay-what-you-can and cash bar, and all proceeds will go toward the show's bus-and-truck to NYC! Tell your friends!
I can't believe it! 12 days to go, and we are only THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS away from hitting our goal! If I could circumvent these update emails and simply beam the full force of my gratitude like a laser into your minds and hearts, I would. Unfortunately, modern arms treaties restrict me to these emails, so friends -- I humbly thank you.
I want to make special mention of my co-alums at Spalding University (Louisville, KY.) Of the 35 backers that have donated money to this project, 6 of them are Spalding alums and/or faculty. I received my MFA in Playwriting from Spalding in '11, and it was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. Nowhere will you find a more supportive and encouraging family of writers.
In other news, we have added a new cast member to the show in the pivotal role of HOWARD: Actor Matt Giehl joined the show as of today, and we couldn't be more pleased. I first saw Matt in a production of Neil Simon's CHAPTER TWO a few years back, and have been a fan ever since. Check out his website if you would like: www.mattgiehl.com.
Here's a pic from dance rehearsal today -- Brittany Polk (GIRL SWING), Patrick Ball (MARTIN), and Daniel Harp (BOY SWING) swinging it hot and heavy under the energetic tutelage of choreographer Christine Fisher.
We crossed the halfway threshold! Thanks to everyone for your support so far. We're all so grateful for the love.

More soon ...
I am vibrating with excitement! That is, I would be if my back weren't still so stiff. BUT -- I'm on the mend, and am pleased as punch to see how many fine patrons we have already.
So here's a little something fun: a sneak peek at some of the music our esteemed composer Clay Davidson (Hi-Rollers guitarist and current NCSA composition student) has been putting together for the show. Enjoy it!
