Metabaque mixes traditional Maracatu rythyms from northeastern Brazil with funk and hip-hop grooves.
The money raised from this project will pay for two things:
1) The professional mixing and mastering of recordings we have from our live performance at Carnaval 2012. This is necessary for both online distribution and the actual media.
2) The physical production of the CD and DVD, which will come with a case and liner notes.
Many people at our performances have been asking if they can buy a CD, but until now we haven't had anything to offer. This project will take one of our best performances to date and make it available to everyone in both a handsome physical media form as well as online! In addition, depending on your reward level, you may obtain video footage of the performance on DVD as well as tickets to the release party. Even get your name mentioned in the CD liner notes themselves as a backer of Metabaque!
