Kickstarter

Dear friends,

As we near 65% funded, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to you all for contributing to the realization of a dream, and the perpetuation of a public gathering place where even strangers feel at home.  The Red Cup, Islandtime Books, and Island Bread Company form a collective community gathering spot where ideas, information, and pleasant conversation are exchanged.  It's a place where "everybody knows your name", and in an age where we are scattered globally and connected by keyboards, I believe we all benefit from and appreciate a place like that. 

I also write to introduce you to the cast, the rest of the bakery's inner workings.  Without these fine ladies (and gentleman), none of the deliciousness would be possible!  All  have  long family histories on the island, and at least three of them are committed to being here for a life.  The addition of the brick oven will help make that possible.  Economic development, one job at a time!

Hannah Johnson, Maya Woods, and Sara Sorensen will be the main cast, but Aidan Woods and Zuzana Bezakova Kreuger will be pitching in as well.  I'll save behind the scenes crew for another post.
