About this project
ShareWithThree.org is a website designed to support women through their decisions to disclose their abortion experiences with three people. The idea of this website is to decrease the stigma behind abortion, normalize the experience of the most common surgical procedure in the United States, and give women and their partners the tools to share their abortion experience, foster support and find their voice. Our website will allow space for discussion, space for partners to discuss the experience, and guidance to help women disclose their own abortion.
The website will contain approximately 5 pages; each serving a different, but important function. Most importantly, we will have guidance for women ready to share their abortion experience as well as space for both women and their partners to share their own experience disclosing their or their partners abortion. Through this site, we hope to help foster a social change movement where women and their partners are encouraged to share their abortion experiences with others, helping to normalize abortion. By breaking down the stigma surrounding abortion, we can truly create a world with better access to abortion and reproductive health care services for all women.
Safety around reproductive health and abortion services is always a concern. Thus, we are creating a safe space for women to share--all comments posted to the site will be moderated for content. Additionally, women and their partners will never be asked to give their name or email if they don’t want to. We also want to support women’s choice to share, and never pressure women to share if they are not ready.
For our vision to be fulfilled, we are using a professional web developer to create our website. Most of the money raised here will go towards this purpose. However, we also want to make the website sustainable, putting aside funds to maintain the website and upgrade it as needed.
