Idiom+ is a small design firm led by Thomas Lehman from Jamestown, North Dakota, with Mara Ribone from Rosario, Argentina, and Regina Wheeler from Los Angeles, California. The team has collaborated for many years. Thomas and Mara both hold a masters degree in Industrial Design and Interaction Design from Domus Academy, Milan. Regina is a mother, designer, and strategic writer, originally from Washington DC, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. The studio has won numerous International design awards while working for clients such as Ferrari, Nike, Motorola, Pirelli, Maserati, Prada, Miss Sixty, Lavazza, and others. The MyKidPad project is a part of our new my:brand line of essential "stuff" with the idea that if products are not beautiful and solve a problem they are just boring.

We are working on it, we have been redesigning and updating the designs, (assembly was a very time consuming task) so we are currently ready to go into production again, sorry we are so slow there was a lot of learning and we spent a lot of time on this second generation to make the product even better. thanks for your faith and patience. thomas
I love the new white ones! Only wish that there was some DIY kits for sale I don't need any more cables but I have some cables without a Mysaver on them and I do like having my cables protected by the Mysaver in fact I don't carry a cable in my bag that doesn't have a Mysaver on it my buddies at the Apple store all want them they are kinda embarrassed by some of the test cables they have that are frayed missing plastic covers on the ends and the price is right I think $25.00 for a Quailty cable with a Mysaver pre-installed is a good deal considering Apple gets $19.99 for a bare cable. Just restock the DIY kits please Tom!!!!

One thing I did that made it work quite well for me was warmed up the glue dots a bit I set the sheet on a ledge on a sunny day they became very pliable and I was able to slide the cover on easily and it lined up nice and flush.
In place of the sun you may try a hair dryer but just remember you don't need to make them hot just warm and they work.

Feedback: The glue dots were just too think and no matter how well you place them, it gets pushed up or balls up when you push the housing to the tip and does not sit flush. You will have a small piece of the old cord still sticking out which to a person like myself is really annoying. Overall, I'm disappointed for being my first kickstarter backing received.
I've sold a lot of the MySavers... :-) Thank you Thomas for making a great product...

it should fit exactly flush with the white cable, sometimes if the cable is really worn or you dont install the glue dots well (balls up as you say) it will not slide fully to the time
we have searched for hours and found a great paper pulp package, if you want we will send you a photo. I agree that is cover stock/paper and the printer assured us it was strong enough, when we complained we got a story, sorry.

Finally had a chance to see this in action; had given it to my mom for her iPad2's cable.
While it does protect it, the housing doesn't fit as flush as I'd hope for it to be (possibly due to the sticky tape that was included? Possibly balled up while it was slid into place).
Another note, with packaging, the heavy paper product folder that the cable came in had arrived completely crushed and bent from the mail. Suggest future orders be shipped with strong cardboard behind it, or using heavier stock. Not that it matters- we're ordering these cables for the cables, not the wrappings ;)

Thomas and team Thank you so much I know we had some trouble but as usual you kept me in the loop every step of the way as I said I never had any doubt I would get them and well just a tremendous home run.
I hope some of the stuff we discussed works out for you Thomas the MySaver should be standard issue with every Apple 30 pin cables.
Also well done on the cables themselves they look thicker than the cable that came with my iPhone 4s but that could be an optical illuision but they look like high quality cables you spent the pledge money well!

Our Biggest Challenge: I know that our shipping took longer then we had thought, (I know i have been here every day doing it), for that I am sorry it is a big challenge, much more involved then we would have imagined, my team and I have shipped all of the mysavers, and I know we made some mistakes, and a few people got something in error. We will be double checking the posts, our emails etc. and if we missed you or you got something in error, send me an email and i will get to it asap.
Today and tomorrow will be the last 2 days, we should have all covered, there are 30-40 that we need to send. One of the things we learned is when we are small we find ourselves at the mercy of our producers we are waiting for the last part from the factory to arrive. These parts were promised before the end of the new year, now they say this week. As soon as these parts arrive we can ship all.

First the most important thing is for us to send you a new one asap, i am sorry, we as an extra precaution put a small drop of silicone inside the aluminum case to secure them, I must have missed yours. I will look up your order and send a replacement to sweden asap.

Hmm, is the MySaver supposed to fall off on the MySaver:Pro model? It's not glued or anything on mine, can easily be removed and, in fact, actually comes off on it's own if you bend the cord in certain ways...
