About this project
Alright everyone. Here's the deal. I'm in the process of recording my first EP and I would love for you to be a part of it! In my experience, I've found that small (or big) gifts from many people come together to create a significant impact. I have seen it in humanitarian efforts at home and abroad. Now, Kickstarter gives budding artists like me a chance to make our projects become a reality.
I think you will like the blend of music, lyrics, and vocals I've put together for this record. Songwriting and performing are passions of mine, and I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to be working with such talented musicians as Matt Berry (guitar/producer), Jasper Nephew (electric guitar), Aaron Fabbrini (bass guitar), and Kevin Holvig (percussion). Expect some incredible instrumentals, people!

My name is Nels Leafblad. I was born and raised in the Twin Cities, MN, and graduated from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN with a degree in Biology. Growing up, I had a very musical family, and those traits were passed on to me. I sing and play guitar, and a little piano on the side. In December of 2010, I went out to Hollywood for American Idol and had an absolute blast, even though I didn't quite crack the Top 24. I'm thrilled to keep making music and performing.
