The dance for camera OVERSIZED project continues with two new sites: Three large hares and one big praying mantis.
OVERSIZED one brought four dances for the camera featuring large scale art in Ohio. The project continues with two new sites.
"Dancing Hares" by Sophie Ryder in Dublin, Ohio are three hares made of bronze with embedded everyday objects. These tall bunnies stand upright facing each other at the tip of large hill. Three male hip hop dancers (Daniel Holt, Chafin Seymour and Henrick Sawczak) will explore this site each using their own unique style of moving.
"Annabelle, the Praying Mantis" by Pat Belisle and Chris Saylor is located on the Ohio State University campus as part of the Chadwick Arboretum learning gradens. This site will feature a male soloist dancing a duet with this 15x11 foot sculpture.
The OVERSIZED project is always seeking to play with depth and perspective through the use of the video images.
With the help of your support all the funds will compensate the dancers, collaborators, costs of production and post production.
