Update #8: PLEASE Re-Donate!
If you did not get my last update... lost story short, I'm too young to get the funds from Amazon Payments, so it refunded all your money. So if you'd like to re-donate, please do so to the link below!
At the moment I've gotten less than half my money re-donated. So once again, please please please re-donate to the WePay page!
Thanks!
Update #7: Some Good News, But More Bad
Hello all of my wonderful Kickstarter backers,
As you have seen in the title, I have some good news, and some bad. As not to conform, I will begin with the bad news.
As you probably could've predicted, 13 years old is actually 5 years too young both to have a Kickstarter project as well as an Amazon Payments account which Kickstarter uses to give their project starters the money they have earned. At first they wouldn't let me do the Kickstarter project, but with some persuasion they allowed it. However, Amazon Payments is not that cool. Unfortunately, they found out that a 13 year old owned the Amazon Payments account connected to this project and have frozen the account and refused to allow me to withdraw the money from the account. So basically I no longer get your money (Insert frowny face here). Luckily, all of you who have been charged will receive a 100% refund for the money you donated to the cause. Yes, this is an inconvenience, but there is still a way to donate, and I am hoping all of you will re-donate the same amount to the event through the link here: It Gets Indie WePay. And YES, you will still receive the rewards promised on Kickstarter if you give again on WePay. So I'm really sorry about that, and it is indeed disappointing. But, if I can re-raise the money it will be okay.
Now onto the good news! A headlining band has signed onto the lineup!! This band is SF local artist "Social Studies." You can check them out here. I am VERY excited about this band and I am sure you will love them. They're a great upcoming group, very hyped about after South by South West. So those of you coming to the concert, take a listen. And those of you who aren't, still take a listen to discover some great new music.
So please, don't be surprised if you receive an email about refunded from Amazon Payments. I'm really sorry about the convenience. But please redonate through WePay!
