Hello David,
You have great timing with your question. I had just edited two episodes tonight, and started to post them, then decided they needed a few tweaks. Hopefully you'll see those episodes tomorrow night or Monday. I apologize for the long hiatus. The series has had a traffic jam on the editorial side. While we have shot many hours of footage over the last few years, it's proven difficult to find the time to edit. Some of the footage has been re-purposed to help the sanctuary, and other footage I plan to use in a longer-form documentary. But the good news is that we have been recording the history of many of these animals, including Oliver.
This past December I interviewed an animal trainer who owned Oliver in the 1970's and I was contacted recently by the Lawyer who took Oliver to Japan for genetic testing. He is interested in being interviewed as well as sharing all the documented history that he owns with me and Project Oliver. So although the series has had it's starts and stops, we're still shooting footage and more episodes are on their way, as well as a longer-form documentary. I'm shooting out at the sanctuary tomorrow and a few days next week for instance.
Thanks for checking in with me. The series has definitely not gone away.

If you haven't already, I suggest reading the book Ishmael. When I hear the story of Oliver, I think of Ishmael. It's a powerful story about humans disregard for everyone and everything else and our need to recognize the place for others in our world - chimpanzees included!

Why can't you just expose the companies that do this to animals...LOCKING THEM UP FOR YEARS IN A TOO SMALL CAGE SO THAT THEY SUFFER SO MUCH!!! WHERE ARE THE LAWS AGAINST THIS?! WHAT GOVERNMENT PERMITS SUCH ATROCITIES AGAINST ANIMALS? IT'S NOT BAD ENOUGH THEY'RE USING THEM IN USELESS LAB EXPERIMENTS, THEY HAVE TO MAKE THEM SUFFER EVERYDAY?? EXPOSE THESE COMPANIES!!! What a GREAT project and it is wonderul that Friends of Animals Primarily Primates is watching out for these beautiful animals!! It saddens me what humans have done to captured primates and a sickening shame it still goes on. KUDOS for all your efforts and there is no doubt that your pledged goal will be met!!! We have used and abused our closed relatives for way to long. Oliver and all other primates in confinement/captivity deserve sanctuary. We should know better by now. Thank you for all you are doing for this long suffering beautiful animal.
