With nearly 20 years of experience in the film and television industry, I have worked as a cameraman, editor and special effects compositor on a vast array of projects for local, national, and international clients. In addition to my own film projects, I have worked in editorial and visual effects for several Robert Rodriguez films, including "Spy Kids 2," "Spy Kids 3D" and "Sin City." In 2007, I completed three documentary films, including "Team Everest: A Himalayan Journey," "The Monkey Project" and most recently, "Swim," a film I co-directed with the production team of Hazard Pay Productions.
"Team Everest: A Himalayan Journey" premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival and screened at festivals and special engagements around the world, including the Austin Film Festival and the Rubin Museum of Art in Manhattan. Both "Team Everest" and "Swim" are currently showing on the Documentary Channel here in the U.S.
Thanks, I'm so happy that I'm going to get this opportunity to help Oliver and Primarily Primates.
OH GOSH...IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU and your primates!! You kicked ass and now they can be happier and safer. Love is in the air!!
Extraordinary things happen when Extraordinary people work together.
Enjoy your new forever home, Oliver.
yes!!!!!!! goal made!
Getting closer to the goal!
What an extraordinary project. I wish I could donate more, but I gave what I could, and look forward to seeing the film when it comes out.
Sorry Jaene,
I tried the video here and it worked. I'll email Kickstarter.com and see if they're having some problems with their website.
having trouble loading the video. just wanted to bring it to your attention.
If you haven't already, I suggest reading the book Ishmael. When I hear the story of Oliver, I think of Ishmael. It's a powerful story about humans disregard for everyone and everything else and our need to recognize the place for others in our world - chimpanzees included!
Thanks to Kickstarter.com for featuring "Home For Oliver" as Project of the day! Three days to go to meet the goal!
-Andy
I've given a small amount. Don't bother sending me anything physical, i'd prefer the money to go straight to the film, and postage to the UK is too expensive. Good Luck with the next 3 days. GO OLIVER
yes Oliver is project of the day!
Best of luck in making this happen. Glad to be a part of this.
Someone should start a petition ASAP @
We only have 8 days to go! Please contact your friends and loved ones & DONATE!
What a beautiful dream to create naturalistic green spaces for these animals who have been taken from nature through no fault of their own. Thank you Andy for your vision and best of luck.
Thanks everyone for all the comments and support of this web series, the sanctuary and the chimpanzees!
What a wonderful idea and I will forward this to as many people as I can. The sanctuary is so vital and I wish you all the best in reaching your total. Good luck, best wishes and love to Oliver and all his mates,
D x
Why can't you just expose the companies that do this to animals...LOCKING THEM UP FOR YEARS IN A TOO SMALL CAGE SO THAT THEY SUFFER SO MUCH!!! WHERE ARE THE LAWS AGAINST THIS?! WHAT GOVERNMENT PERMITS SUCH ATROCITIES AGAINST ANIMALS? IT'S NOT BAD ENOUGH THEY'RE USING THEM IN USELESS LAB EXPERIMENTS, THEY HAVE TO MAKE THEM SUFFER EVERYDAY?? EXPOSE THESE COMPANIES!!! STOP THE MADNESS!!!
What a GREAT project and it is wonderul that Friends of Animals Primarily Primates is watching out for these beautiful animals!! It saddens me what humans have done to captured primates and a sickening shame it still goes on. KUDOS for all your efforts and there is no doubt that your pledged goal will be met!!! OLIVER and all the others TRULY deserve our support to make this happen!!
We have used and abused our closed relatives for way to long. Oliver and all other primates in confinement/captivity deserve sanctuary. We should know better by now. Thank you for all you are doing for this long suffering beautiful animal.
Thank you for this inspiring video of Oliver and Primarily Primates!
