About this project
We are seeking to tell the story of the movement to set old hymn texts to new music that has emerged through Indelible Grace Music and RUF (Reformed University Fellowship.) Indelible Grace Music has released six CDs since 2000. We had the opportunity this past June to lead a hymn sing for a sell-out crowd at the historic Ryman auditorium in Nashville TN and filmed the concert. It was a once-in-a-lifetime event which gathered together most of the Indelible Grace artists like Matthew Smith, Sandra McCracken, Jeremy Casella, Katy Bowser, MP Jones, Emily Deloach, Derek Webb, and others. The Ryman show also spurred us to film some interviews with many of the artists and to make a short movie that we played at the concert. The response to the short movie and the concert was incredible and so we were encouraged by many to expand the movie into a full feature-length documentary about Indelible Grace and the RUF hymns movement.
So... we have been hard at work on this movie (which will include 10 of the performances from the Ryman Hymn SIng) and are close to having it finished. We are so excited to be able to share with the world this story of how God had stirred up a generation to recover these powerful old hymn texts. But we have run out of money to finish this documentary and we need your help. Indelible Grace is just not able to fund a project of this magnitude on our own and so we are are turning to Kickstarter to raise the funds we need to finish the editing, do all the post-production work and to manufacture the DVDs. We really want to have the movie out before Christmas so please help us spread the word to anyone who might be interested in partnering with us to share the story of what God has done through RUF and Indelible Grace.
What will the funds be used for:
Putting the finishing touches on the editing, doing audio post-production, building the DVD itself - including making a 2nd disc full of special features like deleted scenes and extra performances from the Ryman Hymn Sing that we couldn't fit into the movie, manufacturing the DVD, and promoting it.
