About this project

Reggie is an ordinary guy. He has a normal job. He owns a house. On the surface a very normal life. Except for his one obsession; his belief in extraterrestrial life. Reggie believes whole-heartedly that aliens are here, on earth, living among us. He believes they are disguised as homeless people.  Until now, Reggie has been satisfied gathering intelligence, taking photos and detailed notes of the potential aliens' (homeless people) behavior patterns. He has decided to go to the next phase of his operation: Procurement of a subject that he can prove is an alien. Expose them for what they are: spies. His search leads to some gruesome results and behavior one could only describe as psychotic as he obtains subjects for interrogation and/or revelation. Will his search ever lead to the discovery of extraterrestrial life?

The Production:
  THE SEARCH will be produced by Dying Bush Productions. It will be shot with Canon 5d mk II cameras, using several L-series primes lenses. This camera has been the indie filmmaker's go-to camera because of its ability to closely emulate the look of film. It has been used on many big budget studio films including "Captain America", producing some of its best second unit footage. That, combined with the Zoom H4n with Sennheiser mics to capture audio and an abundant array of lighting, makes us very excited about shooting this film.  THE SEARCH is written by Eric Burres and will be directed by Brian Monk Taylor. We plan to document the making of the film and keep everyone abreast of every step of production via Facebook, Twitter, our website and emails/phone calls (to our major contributors.)


Where does the money go:
  Because we are a production company we already possess most of the gear to make this production possible. However, many people are required to make a good short film such as this one.  Most of the money will go to pay the cast and crew, props and location fees. We have put together a crew of very passionate, talented people to make this film the best it can be. Everyone chosen is the best at what they do so the film looks professional and believable, including Dennis Blackwell, a top special effects/makeup man and Andrew Roth, who resides in New York City and has a thriving career as an actor in the film community.
