A sitcom about two struggling superheroes struggling to conquer evil and gain respect.
We are filming the new webseries Capes, a sitcom about superheroes. We are producing between 10 and 14 episodes for the first season. The sitcom focuses on the everyday life of two men, Balding Man and the Spectacular Slush, who have become superheroes with unique and bizarre powers. Together, they fight crime in their city.
We will shoot over 10 days in July and August. There will be a website constructed for the series, and we will host at blip.tv. To decrease the budget, nobody is receiving up front pay at all.
The 2500 will go to cover production expenses, including but not limited to, costumes, props, set pieces, website hosting, and food for the cast and crew during filming.
Many of the crew worked with me on the feature film Grandma's Hands. Though a totally different style of project, it shows the dedication and passion of those involved on this project. You can check out Grandma's Hands at www.grandmashandsthemovie.com. We will be putting this on blip.tv, and building our own website, plus promoting locally, through the internet, and conventions.
