Back in 2010, I would have never thought I'd be making salsa and bbq sauce for a hobby. I decided to make my first batch of mild and hot salsa to enter a salsa contest in my town. I ended up beating out about 15 people, taking 1st place. From then on, I started making canned goods.

2011 was a great year for me. I attended farmers markets and craft shows, selling 7 kinds of salsa, 5 kinds of bbq sauce, 4 kinds of pickles, jams, and other canned goods such as pickled okra and veggies. I never had a complaint about any of my products, unless I was out of stock, then people were upset. Last year, farmers markets stopped allowing canned goods unless the vendor was FDA certified, tested, licensed, inspected, etc. So everyone stopped.....except me. I saved up my own money and invested into getting FDA approved. 

The purpose of this project is not to make money, but to get my products out there for the public to try. I've shipped to 18 states so far, and would love to ship to all 50, in time. I strongly believe in my products and will put them up against any competitors.

I garden most of my products. Yes, my water bill is skyrocket, but I believe in fresh, local, and natural produce. I add a huge amount of fresh produce to my salsas, unlike many other brands. A majority of other salsa brands have water as a main ingredient. I do not add water, simple as that. Why water down a quality product?

I'm also a firm believer in my BBQ sauce line. I have mild, medium, and hot, as well as a mild and hot HONEY BBQ line. If you like BBQ sauce, you will not be disappointed by trying mine.

I do all this work myself, renting out a commercial kitchen for operation. Right now, I am stocked in two grocery stores in Kansas and take online orders through my website www.kucheras.com, but I would love to extend my salsas throughout the world. I have the determination and drive to make this happen. I would love to meet new customers and friends and would love to have you try my products!
