About this project
k.hendrix is a sustainable clothing line creating fabulous, ethereal, rock and roll style from reclaimed and recycled materials. kimberly hendrix is an independant designer working towards building a successful brand while retaining a fully creative vibe. One-of-a-kind is something everyone wants and everyone deserves.
I am currently working on the fall 2011 collection, which is scheduled to be shown at Miami International Fashion Week the first week of March 2011. I have joined kickstarter in an effort to raise funds for the show in Miami or to find sponsorship from the people who love k.hendrix the most. In return k.hendrix will reward supporters with exclusive items from the new collection as well as potential sponsorship listings at Miami Fashion Week. about kimberly
in 2007 after many years as an interior designer, vintage collector and seamstress extraordinaire, kimberly decided to fast forward her passions for design and find a way to promote her unique vision and point of view.
over the next three years kimberly would move to los angeles, develop both rtw and couture collections, co-design a full runway collection for Mercedes Benz fall 2008 fashion week and appear as herself on the TLC reality series bikini or bust.
as quickly as they were finished, kimberly's work began appearing on fashion forward celebrities like zooey deschanel, courtney love and juliet lewis and have been featured in fashion spreads for ocean, glitterati, la direct , 944, s magazine, vertical and blackbook to name a few.
k.hendrix creations, each handmade, feature intricate beading, embroidery, raw edges and meticulous detailing. every item in the collection is created from high end, 100% reclaimed or recycled vintage materials.
k.hendrix has been selected to participate in fashion events for genart and Nolcha, and kimberly was a season 8 project runway casting finalist. kimberly's newest collection for fall 2011 will be showing at Miami International Fashion Week in March 2011.
