Update #4: Fundraising Must End
To all you lovely people,
This fundraiser is going to have to come down. We will not finish, there will not be $2,000, and the charter I work(ed) for is very serious about fundraising protocol, trademarked names, and fraud. I spoke with Senior Directors, and have been ordered to take this website down.
I thank you all sincerely from the bottom of my heart for your patience, encouragement, love for the arts and belief that I can teach them (well, more or less on that last point).
This website will stay up until 7:00 p.m. tonight at which point it will be taken down.
If you'd like to contact me for a further explanation, and know what you can do about this issue, than please contact me directly.

Update #1: Half Way Point!
We're half way through!
I'd like to thank everyone who's contributed to our program so far! We've reached the half way point of time, but definitely not half way to our goal. These last days will be the important ones!
We are currently in the process of finding space in our school for new technology, and working on a visual arts curriculum for daytime teachers. It is long and extensive work, but the encouragement from you all has been amazing. I'll be asking our charter tomorrow to match the donation amount that we receive from our backers.
Thank you for sharing this with your friends and family, and for pledging to build our student's lives in an amazing way.
