About this project
Do you remember a band called Molly McGuire from Kansas City? Maybe you recall their debut full length record "Sisters Of..."? Or perhaps the Epic Records follow up release "Lime" that was produced by Ken Andrews Of Failure & Year Of The Rabbit? And/or maybe you caught them live sharing the stage with such bands as Tool, Hum, Melvins, The Jesus Lizard or Girls Against Boys? Just to name a few. Well, either way, it's been fifteen years since the release of "Lime" and the Molly McGuire boys are back and MORE than ready to get into the studio to take care of some unfinished business. But it's not as easy as it sounds. Back in 91 when the band first formed, things were alot simpler. Life was alot easier. And everone lived in the same town. Everything we did was for music. We would practice and practice, write songs, play live, go on tour and then do it all over again. And again. And again. Fast forward to now, things have changed quite a bit. At this point we are all pretty much "regular joe's" or "working class stiff's" just trying to pay the rent and put food on the table. Not to mention, we all live in different cities. But our passion for music is still very much alive and the thought of us playing together again just seems like the right thing to do. We have the songs! We have the will! We have the drive! But we do not have the money to make a new record. So take all things into consideration: traveling costs, studio time, studio engineer, tape, hard drives, strings, drumsticks, drum heads, mixing, mastering, etc. And well, we sure could use your help. Singer, songwriter, guitarist and lover of music, motorcycles and fireworks. Born and raised in Kansas City Missouri. Hearing Jimi Hendrix on headphones at a very young age made me want to play guitar. Seeing Black Flag when i was fourteen made me want to start a band. I have lived in San Diego for the past eleven years where i have been involved with such bands as Gunfighter, Black Bunny, Kingdom Of Snakes, Sirhan Sirhan, Rats Eyes and Otro. I have been working the door at the Turf Supper Club in beautiful Golden Hill for almost eleven years. Treat people how you want to be treated and keep an open mind. Cheers!
