I'm making a demo/EP recording with a band of NYC pros. Then I can book gigs. I'm doing it "on the cheap" but I still need help.
I've been playing guitar and writing songs for almost 25 years now. When I moved to NYC from Seattle in 2001 I'd just made an album with a full band. I had lots of songs. I figured I'd just keep on recording. As is the case in life sometimes, it just didn't happen that way. Now it's been 11 years and I've yet to get back into the studio with a band and record my songs. That's what I'm trying to do now.
I'm trying to make a four song demo so that I can book gigs. In order to do this I need to not only pay for studio time, but to pay studio musicians. In order to get the caliber of musicianship that I need to make these songs happen, this is a must.
I will be paying for what I can out of my pocket, but I can't pay it all. I'm a teacher in NYC, I'm trying to complete a grad program this year, and I don't want to put this project off for yet another year. This is my dream and I can't do it alone.
