One woman. One corporation. One village. Come crashing together as they rage war in the name of freedom or gold.
I am in production on a feature length documentary about a small rural village in Colombia who at this very moment are fighting their displacement. They are fighting against their very own government, the multinational corporation that wants their land and the paramilitary group that is slowly murdering their community leaders one by one.
You might be asking yourself why do these private interests want to evict the people from their land, the answer is simple... GOLD.
Rumors are swirling in the village that the government is going to remove the people from their homes by force in the coming weeks. The people have vowed to stay, fight and die if necessary.
What we need is your help to get us down to Colombia to document the eviction. We have made one previous trip to Colombia, and are fully aware of the severity of their situation. Take a moment to watch our video. Time is of the essence, every dollar counts, help us get to Colombia!
