...and Todd Finklestone. Two guys with a dream to create for children and expand their imagination... Help us help the children.
Todd and I believe that it’s okay to be different and important to have fun. Saddened that so many lose track of this, Fooling Ewe is our picture book about a young, sassy ewe (female sheep) who feels this same way. Bored in the meadow grazing "all alone, from dawn 'til dusk," ewe wanted to play, and play tricks, on the chicken, frog, and even the farmer. It’s a unique picture book in that the wordplay provides a different experience reading the book (and reading the word “ewe”) versus listening to it (and hearing “you,” which leads children to envision themselves in the book).
The money we raise here will enable us to complete the book, then have it professionally typeset, bound, and printed so we can do the necessary legwork (through signings, readings, etc) to build momentum and sales. Additionally, we are designing a unique Fooling Ewe toy and intend to manufacture enough to give out to children at readings and/or to include one with every book. We believe if you want to improve the world, it starts with children. Help us help the children. Expand their imagination.
They toys aren't done yet, but if you'd like an idea of how they will look and how they will work, check out http://www.hoitytoys.com/twisters.html. It's a toy I make, and will be adapting to include characters from the book. Fingers crossed, of course, that we reach our goal so all of this can go from dream to reality. :)
You can absolutely work out something else. If these rewards don't do it for you, tell us what does, and at what amount you're thinking of contributing, and we'll consider it.
Absolutely! And if your company helped make this book a reality, we'll be sure to mention it on the dedication page of the book. Would read something along the lines of: "And thank you to (Your company name here) for helping to make this dream come true!" It's like sponsoring a Little League team, but it's a children's book instead, in black and white for all to see.
