The Problem:

I believe that less is more.  My bulky wallet was stuffed with rarely used cards and made walking uncomfortable. 

In reality, I only need a few cards. Since I’m never without my iPhone and I hate my bulky wallet, I wanted a way to add the functionality of my wallet to the iPhone. 

Development: 

I started designing the franc a few months ago. I made the first prototype using 3D printing and I immediately loved the prototype.

I tried several different materials, with varying durometers, widths and thicknesses. I experimented with different options until I struck the balance between maximum functionality and minimal material design. 

Unlike many iPhone cases, the franc is designed to be intuitive and simple letting the iPhone still look and feel like the iPhone.

How to Use The franc:

The franc snaps onto the back of the iPhone 4/4s firmly securing the cards to the iPhone.  There is foam padding on the backside of the franc that acts like a spring providing positive pressure even when the cards are removed.

The franc is perfect for going out at night, working out at the gym, going on a run, hanging out at the beach, attending class, or holding RFID cards for easy access to secure locations.

Why I Need Funding:

So far, I have developed a prototype, and finalized the optimized design. To deliver this product to all of you, I need to create a mold to mass produce The franc. The development requires $10,000 to pay for the injection mold, patent application, and first production run.
