We have decided to end our Kickstarter campaign early and kindly ask all backers to send in their donation another way.

About Our Project:
Help us build a school vegetable garden! Our goal is to launch "The King's Garden" - a school garden where students grow fresh food using Earth Boxes and raised bed gardens. The purpose of the garden is to teach students the valuable life and science skills involved in gardening, and the importance of eating healthy foods. The garden will be a way for kids to put down their electronic devices, get their hands dirty, get some fresh air and sunshine, learn the value of hard work and serve others in their community.
About Us:
The Kings Academy is a small private Christian school located in Richmond, Texas. The school was started as a ministry for students who were struggling in traditional academic settings. We provide a safe and loving place for all students to learn and succeed. Several of our students have special academic needs and challenges. Classes meet in two trailers, and we are located on several rural acres owned by the Kingsbrook Baptist Church. The school ministers to students ranging from ages 6 -17, and also provides educational opportunities to the local homeschooling community.
Why Earth Boxes?
We believe that the Earth Box method is most cost effective, most productive, and will make the greatest educational impact on the children. The King's Garden will be maintained by the students and volunteer parents. Because it is a self-contained growing system, the EarthBoxes can be re-used year after year with little upkeep or added expense. What Do We Need?
The funds raised through Kickstarter will be used to purchase a variety of garden supplies such as:
Earth Boxes
Raised Bed Gardens
Staking Support Kits
Educational Curriculum (Elementary, Middle, High School levels)
General Garden Supplies - such as watering cans, seeds, gloves, soil etc...

In addition to making a donation, here are other ways you can help:

• Write a post about our project on your blog & include our link.

We want the King's Garden to be a blessing to our community. We would like the students to be able to taste and enjoy some of "fruit" from their labor. Part of the purpose of the garden is to teach them the value of nutrition and healthy eating. That being said, any surplus of vegetables and produce grown will gladly be donated to local food charities, or given for distribution through church outreach ministry programs. We have a vision that the King's Garden could grow into an amazing outreach ministry to the community. Thanks for asking!
