Plot summary:

 The Awesome Rocker is a feature length comedy based on the fruitful desires of a young arrogant musician driven by the legacy of his long lost father, who was once the biggest rock star of his generation. In this modern day and age, the young rocker is especially skilled at video game drumming. He is convinced that his skills from the game will make him a great musician like his father. His biggest opportunity lies in the annual Battle of the Bands. Due to late notice, he has only one short day to put together a band, rehearse, and take the stage. All must be achieved under the oppression of his strict mother, who will make sure he doesn’t leave the house under any circumstance. The naive rocker is taken on a bumpy misadventure full of strange encounters, drug abuse, and breakneck animosity, all in attempt to prove his awesomeness and righteousness to his father. Is there such thing as too much awesomeness? Find out in, THE AWESOME ROCKER.

This is a film based on the outlook of the inside of a young human’s mind.  It is the difference between choosing to act on a spontaneous premature whim vs. choosing to act on the basis of security, knowledge and fact.  The visions that are projected are how a young man as an individual actually sees his friends, family, enemies and people he meets in subjective form.  Our main character is faced with hard comings, beneficial circumstances and interesting encounters with interesting individuals with human development and growing wise.  He grows in his state of mind from becoming to a state of being.  The characters depicted in the film are displayed in a fun comedic yet bitingly satirical sense of humor towards the darker side of life and psychedelia in the human mind.  In the story, our main character is faced with serious questions and has to make serious life changing decisions based on what he encounters along his journey.  Is this living life at it’s fullest?  Why are such decisions so hard to make?  Does his ego get the best of him?  what changes and dangers WILL he have to face along the way?  Notions and concepts for the film are taken from the psychoanalysis of the sardonic darker truthful side of the human existence, nature, and the false moral perception of life intertwined with bits of radical evolutionary themes.   The Awesome Rocker is the psychedelic journey into what one feels when one detaches him or herself from reality and submerses themselves into the depths of their own mind.  The Awesome Rocker is the journey of the mind when the difference of a balance is shifted way too far between not being able to differentiate the separation of the ego against the self.

Origin of the story, creativity and writing:

The Awesome Rocker character was created in 2007 by writer, actor, artist and filmmaker Siro Soliani and fueled by extreme amounts of sarcasm, extremism and psychology.  Siro has been in numerous movies and film projects including best of Tromadance DVDs to films such as American Pie 2 and Planet of the Apes and a featured student on the American drama television series Boston Public.  He is also a photographer, writer and has also made a numerous short films.  He continues to produce unique forms of art and continues to write and make films.

Talented writer and filmmaker Kristof Nedellec has agreed to come aboard and co-write the project.  He has also made numerous short films and this is his official feature film writing debut in the film business.

Who is in the movie?

As an added bonus, we are surprised to announce that UK band Bobbie Peru has signed on to the project.  They have agreed to perform and act in the film.  Bobbie Peru is an indie art rock project, which was created in the UK in 2006.  Here are some links for Bobbie Peru details.
