Tour Log, Part 9: Avellino, the last show
Hi Friends: You did it!! You helped me not only reach the goal of $10,500 on kickstarter, but surpass it!! I'm humbled and inspired by your generosity, truly. This campaign has come to a close, and now I get to carry out what I hoped to do. The musicians and arrangers who have so patiently waited will now get paid, and the project will be completed. Thank you for believing in me. I can't wait to share the music with you :)
Tour Log, Part 9: Our 8th and final concert in Avellino (near Napoli) was a special night - Our saxophonist's birthday (Happy Birthday, Mirko). It was a real pleasure touring with this fine group, and the recording of the CD "April in Paris" was right around the corner. The next day after a wild ride from Avellino to Napoli airport and nearly missing our flight to Milan (sorry, no footage - It was too chaotic to document :), we made it safely back to Paris, and then the next day was recording day! (April 30: Also the 1st Annual UNESCO International Jazz Day)
