I would like to show my millinery work in the One of a Kind Show. Up until this point, I have been an apprentice milliner under my teacher, Eva May. I feel that it is time for me to show my work alongside the established artists at this show.

The One of a Kind Show is an internationally recognized event in which artists in all media show to an audience of up to 55,000. It is competitively juried, and is one of the few art shows that heavily feature fashion and millinery. 

I have participated in the One of a Kind Show as an emerging artist sponsored by Etsy. I had a half sized booth in an area designated for this program. It was an extremely useful experience that taught me a great deal about how to better present myself and take better advantage of the show.

I am already designing a winter line that will be displayed. I also have begun work on my booth design. I am confident that these actions will place me as an equal among the presenting milliners.

In order to competitively present my work here, and to be able to have the stock necessary, I need to purchase my own set of hat blocks so that I may truly be independent of my teacher. These blocks are crucial to my development as an artist. I will use the funding to pay fees for the show and for the blocks.
