Just a heads-up on my E:D novel project, illustrated and with a story ready to be told, still open over at http://pozible.com/suprmasv ...All proceeds to be added to my existing fat pledge to jonty up to £4.5k. We can certainly use that extra firepower as we head towards 5 Jan!

After watching the great scanvenger video, will it be possible to partly destroy craft ie knock out their engines scavenge any regurgitated loot from their spilled cargo and not get a bounty on your head because you did not kill the pilot, just an idea for earning money for sharp shooting ;-)

@Michael - given that all ships in the universe are rated on the number/difficult of ships destroyed, how will ED fix the problem with an "average" rating meaning anything other than 0.5 kills?

      Hi all,

It would be great if anyone who is currently sitting on the £20 tier, that is planning on upgrading to one of the other tiers later, before the kickstarter ends, could upgrade now to at least the £30 tier. This will free up some of the limited slots and will allow new backers that can only afford to enter at £20 to join.

      Let's make it happen :)

I know you cannot give a definitive answer on specs, and I appreciate you are trying to make this scale as much as possible to reach as wide an audience as possible.

I do plan on upgrading, but not sure if I can afford to before the Alpha or Beta's - so whilst I am not looking for a concrete confirmation would souled t please be possible if you could GUESS if the Alpha & Beta's would run on my current system.

Well said Mario, it would be a crime indeed, not only for us on this Kickstarter now, today, but also for the generation of gamers who will follow us. We must ensure that grand legacy is there, waiting for them, to fire their young minds, to make them dream of far away places, the effort it takes to reach them, epic battles and the raw wonder of discovery.

For me, knowing the new Elite game is out there and being played, weaving it's magic just as it did 30 years ago, would give me much comfort.

Failure of this Kickstarter simply isn't an option I am willing to consider, not even on the last day.

I'm guessing every ship will have a different console/cockpit since the plan is to model the interiors for future updates when we will be able to walk around inside the ship. Or maybe every ship has a "standard" cockpit by law. ;) i'm betting on my first guess though.

Hi all, hope everyone at FD is doing well!

I mentioned in one of the Update threads, the use of an in-game radio scanner mounted on each ships dash console. It would work in a very similar way to the car radio in the GTA games. Different channels could be selected depending on whether the player wishes to listen to music, chat shows, ads, etc. even pick up distress signals. Personally I think a classical music channel that includes The Blue Danube and The Flight of The Valkyries is a must! :)

Another cool feature could be to illegally get your radio scanner modified to pick up police chatter and further black market mods could enable reception of military transmissions.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this idea and the feasibility of it being implemented in the game, maybe as an expansion?

Going back to the dash console, I'd be interested to know if the dash panel will be a generic one as in the previous games or unique consoles to each ship type? Maybe a generic amount of buttons/sliders for every ship but with unique skins and/or layouts for each ship type would be cool?

You're all doing great work there at FD and I'm so glad to be part of it in a small way! :)
