About this project

Diverse is connected to a network of musicians and fans in Kansas City, the Midwest and other parts of the United States. Many people in these areas have responded positively to their mission-- expanding the jazz demographic by playing music in a more accessible way without sacrificing integrity. This mission has helped build the Diverse name, but not so much outside of the states.

The trio format of Diverse, which consists of Hermon Mehari (trumpet), Ryan Lee (drums), and Ben Leifer (bass), is going to Paris during the entire month of June to literally "put their foot in the door". Paris has a rich jazz tradition and is known for its appreciation of the music. This city will serve as a springboard for opportunities throughout Europe. The Diverse Trio will spend their time in Europe performing music, meeting musicians, pushing the name of the group, and networking as much as possible during their month stay.

The goal of $3,000 will help pay for the expensive costs of going to Europe--mainly the flights to Paris ($800+ each) and Eurorail passes ($600-900 each) which will be necessary to perform throughout different regions. Diverse will be making the trip as economic as possible. If this goal is not reached by May 2nd, then you don't pay anything and we don't get anything. Transactions are done through Amazon.com, so security is guaranteed. Your help is most certainly appreciated, and any amount (even $1 or $5) will aid the group in this costly endeavor!
