Life after graduation (AND TWO SONGS!)
Hello there, wonderful Kickstarter family :).
I apologize for taking so long (yet again) to post an update. I have been a busy, busy bee these last few months. As of last Saturday, I'm officially a college graduate. I'm a real adult now! (So far, I feel exactly the same... however, it is a wonderful feeling knowing that I'll never have to take an exam or write a paper ever again. Maybe. Hopefully).
I just want to take a second to (once again) thank you all SO much for your unending support and patience. I really can't say enough how blessed I am to have such an amazing group of people supporting me and my dream to pursue music. If you'd like to read a little blog post about this, please go to: http://giveeverymomentataste.blogspot.com/2013/04/let-beauty-you-love-be-what-you-do.html
NOW. The most important part of this update.... I have TWO NEW SONGS FOR YOU. Right now. At this very second.
They are both covers, ironically requested by two separate backers who happen to both live in the UK. The first cover is for my Kickstarter backer, Iain Draper. He requested the song, "Nobody's Perfect", originally by Jessie J. You can hear/see her original video here: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xi8ex8_jessie-j-nobody-s-perfect-official-music-video_music#.UZJ4CYVbxE4
Alright. So... if you just listened to that, you can tell that it is NOT an easy song to sing. In fact, this song was (HANDS DOWN) the hardest Kickstarter song thus far. Iain, I thank you so much for the incredible challenge! I know this may not be the best version ever of this song, but let's just say it took many, many takes just to get this down.

The second Kickstarter cover is for my wonderful backer, Alan Champion. The song is called "Homage For The Suffering", and it is a beautiful original by Matthew Perryman Jones. I had never heard this song before, but I fell in love from the first note. My version is extremely simple, but I think that's exactly what this song needs.

Iain and Alan--- I can't thank the two of you enough for your amazing support! I hope you both enjoy the songs :).
To the rest of you that still have songs you are waiting for.. I promise they are coming! I'm tackling these songs every day that I'm not at work.
LOVE to all of you!
