Hello there, wonderful Kickstarter family :).

I apologize for taking so long (yet again) to post an update. I have been a busy, busy bee these last few months. As of last Saturday, I'm officially a college graduate. I'm a real adult now! (So far, I feel exactly the same... however, it is a wonderful feeling knowing that I'll never have to take an exam or write a paper ever again. Maybe. Hopefully).

I just want to take a second to (once again) thank you all SO much for your unending support and patience. I really can't say enough how blessed I am to have such an amazing group of people supporting me and my dream to pursue music. NOW. The most important part of this update.... I have TWO NEW SONGS FOR YOU. Right now. At this very second.

They are both covers, ironically requested by two separate backers who happen to both live in the UK. The first cover is for my Kickstarter backer, Iain Draper. He requested the song, "Nobody's Perfect", originally by Jessie J. Alright. So... if you just listened to that, you can tell that it is NOT an easy song to sing. In fact, this song was (HANDS DOWN) the hardest Kickstarter song thus far. Iain, I thank you so much for the incredible challenge! I know this may not be the best version ever of this song, but let's just say it took many, many takes just to get this down.

The second Kickstarter cover is for my wonderful backer, Alan Champion. The song is called "Homage For The Suffering", and it is a beautiful original by Matthew Perryman Jones. I had never heard this song before, but I fell in love from the first note. My version is extremely simple, but I think that's exactly what this song needs.

Anddddd Kickstarter Song #9 is now COMPLETE.

This one is brought to you as a collaboration of sorts... My wonderful backer, Paulette, provided the lyrics for this song, and I created a melody based on what she gave me. (I hope you like what I've done, Paulette!).

Happy Sunday, wonderful Kickstarter family :). Hope you are all doing well.

I have been very busy this past weekend and was able to knock out TWO Kickstarter songs. WOOP WOOP. I am including one of them in this update, and I will release the other a little later this week.

This Kickstarter song is for backer, Stacie. (I can't thank you enough, Stacie!). She wanted me to write a song as a tribute to her mother, and I have to say, I was definitely able to connect with this one... and I am very proud of the final product. I hope that "If You're Up There" provides comfort to those of you who may need such a song.

Happy Monday/MLK Day!

I just wanted to send you all a quick, little update to let you know that I am still trudging along with all of your rewards. I am a bit under the weather at the moment, but it's been a great excuse to slow down and work on some of the Kickstarter artwork this weekend!
